As the summer season approaches, Get Physical looks to some of the key residents on the White Isle to contribute exclusive new tracks to Get Physical Presents Ibiza 2017, which is all mixed and compiled by Ben Hoo.
UK born DJ, composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer Hoo is an Ibiza resident with a weekly radio show on Ibiza Sonica that shows off his eclectic style and finds him providing chilled out soundtracks as much as club pumping sets. He is a part of the Get Physical family and is a Kindisch staple artist who has released many EPs and an album, Collected, on the label.
Here he reaches for a fresh mix of contemporary producers including the likes of Nima Gorji, System of Survival, Audiohell, Tania Vulcano & Jose de Divinia and a few of his own great beats.
It all kicks off with Hoo’s stripped back, ambient rework of Tantsui’s ‘Planet of the Apes’, a blissful slice of electronica that sets a laidback scene before a second remix of his, this time of System Of Survival feat. Vhelade, brings some lush vocal deep house grooves to the fore. As the sun sets on the White Isle, Clara Brea, the Acid Sundays & Heart Ibiza regular, gets called upon for her corrugated and bumpy cut ‘707minor7’.
A sleek and slick passage of minimal house follows thanks to cuts from talented newcomer Peter W and Eder Alvarez & Joey Daniel, then a brace of brilliant cuts—collaborative gems from Hoo and Enzo Leep—mark a cerebral and intimate mid section with wandering piano chords and late night drum shuffles all making for a woozy feel. The arrival of tracks from long time Ibiza staple Nima Gorji, Insane and Mosaic resident Alex Kennon and Audiohell in cahoots with Circo Loco’s Tania Vulcano and Jose de Divinia then make for some more bumping grooves and textured tech cuts, but never are there any sharp turns or awkward segues.
The final third of this super smooth and seductive mix finds Peter W, Gorji and Ben Hoo all make more contributions, and the resulting sounds are nicely coloured with distant vocal sounds, jazzy percussive patterns and a certain late night darkness and naughtiness.
Overall this is a fantastic mix of modern house music that shows great balance, selection and sequencing from start to finish.

Its Khen up next, the talented producer and DJ from Tel Aviv, who featured on the labels recent Sudbeats compilation, and fans of his work include Guy J and Nick Warren, and of course Mr Cattaneo.
Sense Of Time is a deep hypnotic little number, that gets under your skin, with its subtle warm melodic changes and wicked fx that add a trippy layer to this excellent track.
On remix duties we pop over to Madrid to see Luis Junior who runs for his own Mooseekaa label and has released on Bedrock and microCastle to name a few.
Luis remix adds some punch, but keeping the cool vibes and depth from the original, making the remix a spacious nice alternative mix.

As the dust finally begins to settle after the release of Pan-Pot's massive album 'The Other', it's time to unleash a collection of heavy hitting reworks from the best and brightest stars of todays techno elite. Through careful consideration and an acute attention to detail, we couldn't be more elated to confirm ten artists we know and love to contribute their unique vision to Second State's first ever remix package.

Kicking things off with a heavily twisted alteration of 'Attention' is Nicole Moudaber and it's a tangled, dark trek through dense acoustic layers of audible madness. Next up is the Hamburg duo

Extrawelt with their twist on 'Optimistic Grey' and they deliver a beautiful blend of emotion and groove they are synonymous for.

Following suit is another passionately romantic number from man of the hour, Stephan Bodzin, and his take feels like floating through a sea of clouds, resulting in a timeless classic to be a focal point in any set for years to come.

Next in line is Ray Kajioka's take on '808 Nirvana' and it's a cosmic ride, ripe with swirling atmospherics laid over big churning drums and rolling cymbals.

Following up on the second 12“ of this LP is a man who needs no introduction: Carl Cox. And in true Coxy fashion he turns 'Riot' into just that: a big room, tension building monster!

Broken Engine' is the next track to get worked over and Wigbert delivers a stunning mix of shimmering tones and growling bass resulting in a lush venture through a cosmic backdrop of flickering stars in deep space.

Joseph Capriati ensues with his vision of 'Fugitives' and he brilliantly keeps the vibe of the original yet adds his trademark big room flair to take it to another level of driving euphoria.

Enlisting the talents of Alan Fitzpatrick to remix one of the slower listening tracks on the album turned out to be magic. With his signature percussion, Fitzpatrick takes the parts and creates a dive deep into sultry smooth waters of seduction.

The first of our last two remixes, which are digital exclusives, come from Paul Ritch and he delivers a grinding rendition of 'Riot', expertly crafted for the more euphoric peak time occasions.

Last and certainly not least is a man on the rise, Kevin Knapp with his twist on his own collaboration with Pan-Pot: 'Get In'. An expertly crafted tech house jam exploding with energy and attitude perfect for any moment, day or night, indoors or out.

No matter the time or place, there is something here for everyone and we are truly fulfilled and honored to present this package of cutting edge artists to celebrate this landmark moment. We know you will enjoy!

Back again with another deadly package, its the mighty Sudbeat, and taking firm controls once again are label boss Hernan Cattaneo and studio partner Soundexile.
This time we are graced with Cityism, a deep hypnotic melodic housey tinged techster with layers of synths and sounds meeting fx and spoken vocal samples. The deep bass drives this along while the melodies tinkle brightly.
The seriously on form Pig & Dan step up with the first of the remixes, and strip things right back with an infectious techno groove that punches along, and then builds with drum fills and snippets of melody, and as the tension builds the melody develops - all the while keeping it solid and deep.
Richie G a definite rising talent on the scene is next on remix duties, and delivers a contagious number with distinctive pads, a moving tough yet profound bassline, vocal snippets and tight production that locks you right in. Another top remix.
To close the package is the Dub Mix from Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile who utilse the main elements from the original, but strip things back and increase the intensity while taking us deeper with its driving, almost rolling bassline.
