Reimagining the original through his signature lens of groove and analog flavor, St. David transforms ‘Good Music’ into a timeless house smasher, anchored by a powerful bassline and a shuffling rhythm that keeps the floor moving from the first bar. While the heart of the original, Dan Diamond’s vocal, remains at the forefront, St. David injects new life with rolling drums and the addition of classic piano chords that gradually build into a peak-time weapon.

Known for his remixes of Las Americas’ ‘Do It’ on Definitive, St. David is quickly becoming one of the genre’s most respected tastemakers. Born in Bari, Italy in 1991, he draws deep inspiration from the American house tradition, combining soulful, vintage textures with club-ready grooves. His vinyl-only label, Theory of Swing Records, is his personal homage to 90s house, and his releases frequently hit the top of vinyl charts around the world.

The mastermind behind Basic Channel, Hard Wax and Rhythm & Sound doesn't do mixes. For RA.1000, he made an exception.

Trace Mark Ernestus's path, and you trace the evolution of electronic sound itself. The timeline of contemporary Berlin is unimaginable without him. At first, that meant Hard Wax, the crucial hub that shaped the early era of the city's techno revolution. Carl Craig once said it plainly: "Mark was ground zero."

From there, Ernestus never stopped. There's the birth of dub techno and the near-flawless catalogue that followed through Basic Channel and Rhythm & Sound. There's his immersion in Senegalese mbalax with Ndagga Rhythm Force. Lately, that means Open Ground the Wuppertal bunker that's letting people hear music as never before.

As part three of RA.1000, Ernestus has kindly supplied his first studio DJ mix. As you might expect, it's technically immaculate, but more than that, it feels like a substantial and generous conduit to one of the world's most vital genres.

Amapiano remains underexplored in music media. Publications like our own are still learning to keep pace with the South African sound's global pull, animating millions across the globe. 

You'll hear the range and richness of the genre across the near two-hour mix, from the gothic, percussive stomp of Caltetonic's "Bambela"  to the devotional glow of GemValleyMusiq's "Something Spiritual."

Through all of this, Ernestus has remained understated. He lets the music speak for him, with a quiet honesty that lies in decades of opening doors—creating the conditions for new sounds and scenes to flourish and carry the culture forward.

Having methodically teased the soundscape of her forthcoming compilation over the past months, she now unveils ‘Body Language Vol. 26’, a record that stands as both a statement of intent and an act of refined curation. Out now via Get Physical Music, the compilation maps an evolving terrain where emotion, texture and rhythm converge with an elegant restraint rarely achieved in club music today.

Launched in 2005 by Berlin-based label Get Physical Music, the Body Language series has become one of dance music's most essential and enduring mix compilation series. Each edition serves as a curated journey, blending exclusive tracks and remixes that push the boundaries of house and techno. With contributions from luminaries like Booka Shade, WhoMadeWho and andhim, the series has consistently showcased a commitment to innovation and musical depth, influencing both DJs and listeners worldwide. Now, with Vol. 26, Yulia Niko continues this tradition, offering a fresh perspective while honoring the series' rich legacy.

The project unfolds over eleven tracks, as she unveils a deftly balanced selection that plays like a nuanced narrative. It moves from the effervescent, sun-warmed piano house of ‘So In Love With You’, through to the nocturnal depths of ‘Bad Habits’ – a reverent yet freshly dark reimagination of Jenny Burton’s ’85 anthem, co-produced with Alfonso Muchacho – before arriving at the skeletal, hypnotic minimalism of ‘Just Just’; a deft reworking of a Rework classic.

Central to the compilation’s identity is the never-before-heard ‘Takina’, a collaboration with Alexey Union and Kinky Sound that crystallizes the collection’s ethos. Teenage Mutants sets sail in a new journey into deep tech, shaping up a mosaic comprising of five original tracks.

Palais kicks off proceedings with a revving lead and ascending melody. The journey theme becomes evident from the outset, as the track marches along, gradually building up into an upbeat construction. Dub vibes aplenty come about in Couer, as tribal drums create a heavy-hitting yet pensive start. Anchored in sweeping synths and subtle elements, the percussion remains prominent throughout the cut, making it a great dancefloor weapon. 

Concorde, a term near-synonymous with aircrafts, one of three collaboration tracks with newcomer Heerhorst. It swiftly unveils dark and brooding atmospheres. With the help of an initial heavy kick drum doubled by percussive elements and an electricity-tinged lead, it conveys an intense ambiance. A male vocal chanting French lyrics kicks in, ultimately unveiling the reason for the overall morose mood: it’s all centered around love. Opera is a string-heavy arrangement where distorted loops reign supreme. Yet another slice of melancholy in the form of a moody lead makes its presence, instilling tension and dynamism. Breaking out into an array of synths at peak time, confusion intertwines with darkness, mixing together in the end. Jour plays upon a parallel sequence of loops, garnering complementary tones in a constant zig-zagging motion. Strobing noises and hellish melodies occupy opposing corners, mediated by a playful bassline.

Now into its 15th year, Get Physical continues to lead from the front with the fifth instalment in its ‘Words Don't Come Easy’ compilation series.
Once again packing a punch across 20 tracks, it arrives with two continuous mixes filled with fantastic artists old and new. There are many exclusives along the way from Cord Labuhn & Jansen, M.A.N.D.Y., Dakar, Noema, Sophia Saze, Ryan Murgatroyd and Mâhfoud & Javier Orduna and they all add up to one great listen.
The excellent first mix kicks off with Deetron’s recent and most essential remix of one of Get Physical’s new shining stars, aka South African artist Jazzuelle. It’s a sensual neo-soul track that sets a fine mood. From there, Nico Stojan feat. JAW slips us into a warm deep house groove, the in-demand Bedouin offer piano laden and lazy vibes and Konstantin Sibold's Alternative Remix of WhoMadeWho picks up the pace with a more driven house style.
One of the standout offerings is ‘The Clown’ from Thor Rixon, which will be released as a new single on July 7th with remixes from Few Nolder & Lord Of the Isles. The moody and atmospheric track is a vocal laced deep house roller and has its own emotional video filmed by Rob Wisniewski in Berlin, which is to be released soon.
These are as much songs as they are tracks because of the rich musical vibes and romantic chords that drape over the drums through tracks from Robosonic and then a more prickly and dehumanised tech offering from M.A.N.D.Y.
The moodiness then dissipates with the super slow motion churns of Mâhfoud & Javier Ordun’s ‘Secrets’ while the man behind Get Physical’s other recent mix, Ben Hoo, shines once more with his organic and tender passage of ambiance.
Elsewhere, a 2017 edit of Dakar’s I’ve Got That Feeling’ goes straight for the dance floor, M.A.N.D.Y. make a second appearance with their spooky broken beat offering, and Jazzuelle also returns with his gorgeously pained and downbeat ‘Relativity’ before he starts to close things down with a slick remix of DJ Pierre. Last of all, Climbers leave us on a high with the shimmering and reflective, beachy house of ‘Driving.’
This is a diverse yet coherent collection of tracks that show that Get Physical has never been more brilliantly eclectic in its offerings.

A lot has happened in the last 20 years of dance music, but one constant has been Get Physical right at the sharp end of the scene. Forming the backbone of the label's vast catalogue is the influential in-house DJ mix series, Body Language.
