Thandi Draai & Candy Man's 'Out Of Africa' is the second single taken from the upcoming Africa Gets Physical Vol. 4 album.

Candy Man started making music on borrowed gear more than a decade ago. He hails from the dusty streets of Eersterus, North of Pretoria, and after getting his own setup had a breakout afro house banger with ‘Caribbean Dance’ and has never looked back since. He has worked with a range of vital African labels and here links with Thandi Draai, who has mixed Africa Gets Physical Vol. 4. Thandi Draai is a young and gifted vocalist, songwriter and producer who isn't limited by genre. She has risen through the South African ranks, working with vital artists such as Charles Webster, Boddhi Satva and Lemon &
Herb.

Over the course of seven sublime minutes, 'Out of Africa' is a most spiritual and soulful house experience. It pairs African percussion with chanting vocals, lively drums and sombre synth work that all get layered up to perfection. An epic breakdown resets the mood before the track builds again and carries you away to another level.

'Out Of Africa' is another one of the many standout tracks from the full compilation that arrives soon.

I've been a DJ since 1991, but I started composing and producing music back in 2005, using Logic Pro and MIDI devices. Over the years, I’ve mixed a wide range of genres - from funk, soul & Motown; to jungle, drum’n bass & breaks; to minimal-tech, trance & deep house. 

These days, I mainly enjoy mixing deep beats and some of my favourite record labels include: Get Physical Music, Canopy Sounds, Strictly Rhythm, Shanty Radio Moscow, Systematic Colours and Permanent Vacation.

The label has always stayed true to its house roots, but with a rich array of influences taken from the worlds of disco, deep, tech and melodic house. Along the way, Get Physical´s core artists have been joined by red hot new talents including Alinka, Thandi Draai, PAUZA, Yulia Niko, Birds Of Mind, CIOZ and Monkey Safari. There have also been carefully considered forays into thriving house music scenes in Africa, Brazil, Cuba, Croatia and India: dedicated compilations and EPs have highlighted those region's most exciting new talents and given them a global platform. 

The name says it all: Get Physical tracks could hardly be more moving and corporeal. It was true in 2002, and it will be true in 2025 and beyond.

DJ at the age of 15 at the "club 4" next to Nice, I learned the craft by mixing all night long with DJ Boudha every summer and school holidays.
My weapons being made, my first big evening was a Limelight on new Year 93' beside of Mozart, Liza'N Eliaz and Lady B.
After all was chained with my first amazing rave to the side of Scan X and Jack of Marseille, Yayo, and Vibot.
My musical style turned around Techouse & Techno in progress with tracks from the four corners of the planet ...
