Drifting - a movement with no certain direction… As a drifter you may move with ease and a calm mind, or you may find yourself on a mystical journey into the unknown, you’re never quite sure... These feelings of uncertainty have inspired our dear friend Kyle, aka @captures, when he began working on this EP three years ago. At that time his journeys had drawn him to Berlin where he found himself searching for a community to resonate with. With a bit of drifters fortune, we found each other here and there as the events and parties around Voodoohop and UCR brought him a sense of home: „Everyone seemed like wild characters in a play on some type of exotic underground that created a narrative free from boundaries. I loved the psychedelic atmosphere those days combined with electronic and world music sounds. Those experiences contributed a lot to this album and to who I am today.“

We’re pleased that our communities have provided inspiration that has led us to work with Captures on releasing this beautiful soundtrack. A soundtrack for all the drifters out there.

May this EP be seen as a dedication to not only the weightless feeling of floating but also to carry confidence and optimism on our paths to explore the great unknown. As Confucius said, „The journey is the destination“.

K2W0 is a dreamer traveling across unknown yet familiar planes of existence. As the faceless walker embarks on his journey, he comes across unique environments, cultures, and beings. Each encounter tells a story of its own expressed through song
K2 is a mountain in Pakistan, which is also the second highest peak in the world. I am originally from Pakistan hence the inspiration for the name, as it can be linked back to my roots. The W0(zero) is there to make it "two" while adding a bit of mystery. So, its pronounced K-2 (Kay-Two)

Note from creator: 
Halka Suroor – This track was inspired by my favorite musician from Pakistan. It's one of the mellower songs and has a more chill vibe. The track's title is in Urdu, the native language of Pakistan, and it means "happy light-headedness after a drink" – a sweet, mild intoxication of the mind caused by love.

The Sorry Entertainers have played a huge part in my inspiration over the years and their Local Jet Set album is one of my favourites along with their Dark hits from Donkey Album mix.

Thor Rixon’s 'The Clown' get's another 2 remixes after last summer's Few Nolder and Lord Of The Isles remixes. Leipzig’s Ninze and South Africa's Floyd Lavine join the club. Ninze gives the track a more downtempo and dark interpretation with a light treatment of natural sounding, organic percussion. The track carries the heavy groove with ease by keeping things simple and effective.
Floyd Lavine dives deeper with his own ‘African Techno’ remix. Lavine holds the beat with a rolling array of deep drums churning out a pulsing lower end as he tops it with a few sprinkles amidst the dark, cold ambiance – yet another fascinating and contagious take on the original.
