As I glide through the juices of the ocean, translucent memories move my skins covered by hypnosis.
Resilient sounds touch the depths of the water.
Like jellyfish we are, morphing biogenetic shapes gliding the wave, our blood the beat. 
Enchanted by the echoes which rely in profound secrecy. 
Transforming into sensibility of jellyfish, creatures of deep sea.

Memories of the past appear near me.

When I was a jellyfish I was everywhere, 
I was feeling the very small fish moved by the dances of sands, 
from far far away atmospheric reflections were singing to me.
I was sound, smell, lucid, light, body, touch.
I was ocean seen as my limbs,
my shape almost unseen.

I was the reflection of the ancient luminaries, 
gassers, quasars
and supernovas, 
still palpable in the sky, 
but already long gone in space…

A ritual of dance; eternal metempsychosis.
From blue ocean stars in veils of coral leaves,
to shinning radiolarians, molecular expressions full of lustrous life, 
frail and delicate,

stories of twinkles in the night sky, the glooms of the ocean,
crystalline and fine….

All were born and shall die in the same vessel of time.

Like the Ocean, the scapes we live in exist in many ways; a journey through dark into light; 
and so, this set represents the depth, the earth, the water, the path, and the devotion to exist in time. 
Let it be your voyage ❤︎

It was such a pleasure to create this musical journey as it is a compilation of my most favourite pieces, and they really make me vibrate!
I hope it will have the same effect on you.

Moontide Ensemble -  Live From The Vault (2022)

Bangalore boys Shaswat Trivedi & Akshay Chaz aka Shash & Chaz have given Getting Deeper an impeccable set for its 67th number in the podcast series. True to its form, the set adopts a distinct style with a consistent and classy vibe that gives the entire podcast a rich and wholesome shape with an unmistakable silhouette. 

I think the set might actually be one of its kind in the entire Getting Deeper series because of how consistent it is throughout its length of time. There is something about it that is both cohesive and wild.  The beats are warm and soulful, yet... there is an industrial and grungy side to them, with a melodic intensity that is executed with subtlety and understatement, lending the set a more mature and refined character.

This kind of subtlety can only be achieved by a tightly knit track selection and some really smooth transitions. Tracks need to be selected with a thoughtful process in mind so that they compliment each other, either by feeling or by vibe. Finally, all those individual tracks need to be linked together in such a way that they form a beautiful, one hour sonic story of heady images, hypnotic trips and timeless journeys. 

That is exactly what this set captures.  

Shash & Chaz have, through this set, not only shown us that they are amazing candidates for podcasts but have also paid a welcoming tribute to Getting Deeper's philosophy... because if there is one thing about podcasts, it is that their distinctness from live sets should be recognized. They are perfect tools for experimentation, lending artists the flexibility to truly showcase something deep - something that is close to their hearts. Unbound by genre orthodoxy and large crowds looking for the next beat to dance to, podcasts can be a perfect way to turn any vision into sound. 

And that's why, GD is really proud to publish this set.

Malü from Mannheim should be no stranger to all scene connoisseurs. Whether solo or together with Kalypsoul, as a producer, live act or DJ, he captivates with his hypnotic and trippy sound, which is perfect for an afterhour. He also enriches his story-like sets with a certain depth and bounce. Boredom is out of the question. Perfect for switching off as well as dancing.

✔️ What are your musical Influences?

"My musical influences span across World Music, German rap, Down- and Midtempo genres, and a little bit of Jazz. And many Bass Music genres influenced me heavily in the past."


✔️ What is your musical background?

"I started producing music around 28 years ago, beginning with Drum and Bass, then moving on to Dubstep, Glitch Hop, and briefly Techno before quickly settling into Downtempo. About 25 years ago, I began DJing with vinyl, initially focusing on Techno and Trance, then shifting to Drum and Bass. I also took piano lessons and have experience as an audio engineer specializing in mixing and mastering. Since 2016, I've focused primarily on Downtempo. Nowadays, I rarely produce alone, preferring collaborative jam sessions in the studio with artists like Niju, Kalypsoul, MinusStunden or various instrumentalists and vocalists. Sometimes, I even work with people who don't necessarily produce but have a great taste in music."


✔️ What do you think makes a good afterhour?

„Good after hours are made by relaxed music and pleasant people who aren't overly intense. ‚Berliner Luft', beer and cigarettes should not be missing:)"


✔️ What thoughts would you like to share with us about your mix?

„This is an afterhour set recorded at ‚ALTER' right in the centre of Mannheim last Sunday evening from 8 to 10 PM. It starts with a driving rhythm, transitions into a more musical middle, and then speeds up at the end."


✔️ How did you feel about the gig?

„The day was unbearably hot, but it became more comfortable towards the evening. The crowd had a fantastic time, with smiles all around. At one point, the police showed up and mistakenly said: ‚Someone called and asked you to turn up the volume a bit' (😂)."

I'm overjoyed to share my set from the Soria Gathering on the magical island of Værøy in Northern Norway—a place that once felt like a dream. Nine years ago, while attending a midnight sun festival, I stood in awe of the breathtaking landscape, imagining myself performing there. This year, that dream became a reality.
Playing under the golden glow of the midnight sun was a moment I’ll cherish forever. My heartfelt gratitude goes to TROLLDOM for turning this dream into reality and to SORIA GATHERING for hosting such an incredible festival in one of Earth's most challenging yet magical locations. This life-changing experience will stay with me always.

Chill Corner - Electro, Very Chilled, Hypnotic, Groove Set

My Boom set is now live via SoundCloud!

This set moves between all original live moments and music I love and back. I feel so lucky to have had the chance to play this festival and am ever grateful to those who entrusted me with a 3.5-hour journey into the sunrise.

It was my first Boom and I had heard many things about this festival, and feel so lucky to have experienced its magic. People have a lot of opinions on large festivals,there's always going to be smaller, more unique places to be,but I was blown away by Boom. I spent much of the 3 days I was there roaming alone, marveling at the spectacle of such a place. I'm mostly introverted, and these places often aren't my first choice to hang out, but I had a ball at Boom.

Thanks to everyone who danced into the morning, it was so special, I hope this recording can be a memoir of your first evening at Boom <3
