Here goes our shiny new live set, which we recently debuted at Fusion Festival. 2 years of work went into the new songs. Hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

Milo Häfliger makes his presence for the second time in the Getting Deeper Podcast series. His first podcast for Getting Deeper was absolutely lovely and a favorite for a lot of GD's fans. And so, it is really great to have him again on GD... this time, with a much deeper and a much more emotional set.

What's special about Milo's sets is the fact that he combines beautiful dialogues and speeches with even more beautiful music. It lends the set a depth that is, almost every time, heightened by the power of words. The set becomes an aural representation of the artist's deepest thoughts. It's stunning.

You are immediately transported to an inexplicable human state that is both intangible and profound, and can only be felt through music. There is no other art form that can touch a person's soul so deeply that it is too dream like and intimate to explain. Music, truly, speaks the language of something beyond us... something divine and absolutely soul shattering.

Milo told me that through this set he seeks to capture the feeling of being fully present. He explains it through the word 'isola' which is the latin form of isolate and the Italian word for 'island.' With this set, he tries to create an island - a place where we face the wind and forget everything. It is a place where we deserve to live our lives to the fullest without any concessions.

Musically, the set is intensely emotional, deep and infused with clarity. Clear, airy melodies are placed on top of slow, timeless beats. The end result is a soft, sensual and mature set that is perfect for personal, intimate moments.

Kicking off the week with this groovy psychedelic soundscape set played by Safak OzKutle AKA “Oceanvs Orientalis” is a formation which aims to challenge the aesthetic perception in electronic music.

It blends itself with the archaelogic tunes of mankind’s cumulative musical history and in this very context believes that “everything comes from the east”.

Despite of being an electronic-based formation -due to practical reasons- at the moment, it intends to transform into a dance (to move the body and feet to music) orchestra where each instrument will be played by its own instrumentalist.

Electronic music is hard to define genre. At most of my shows around the world I've been asked the same question of "how I would define my musical genre" again and again. 

But I'm not a fan of putting things in labelled boxes. Of course, people use these boxes to not get lost in the incredible diversity of musical styles. But these "genres" are very limiting for those who listen and for those who share it with others. Mostly, they are one sided, inaccurate and misleading. 

My musical universe is not only downtempo-ish, emotional house but also melodic ethnic techno - and so much more. For me, a DJ-set is open to innovation, experimentation and change which creates the magic in the end. 

So there you go with one hour of listening to the "Vastness of the Universe" which refers to the variety of my musical universe. Much love to all of you and see you somewhere somewhen around the globe soon! <3

Mees Dierdorp - Colourful Storytelling (.am Podcast)

For me music is all about creating a journey and although you can create a journey in a track itself, or in a one hour podcast, 3 hours and 33 minutes is giving you the opportunity to take this journey to a whole other level. In order to make this special I dove deep into my music library. There are a lot tracks in this journey that have been favorites for a while. But I have also been focusing on tracks that shaped me before I was DJing. Most mixes I make consist of a lot of new music, but this journey, especially the last part, consists of tracks that are very dear to me and had a big impact on my life. These tracks opened up my eyes to what was possible in music, and moreover, to what music was doing to me. Listening to the these tracks triggers a deep feeling of gratitude. Gratitude for the incredible journey music has given me. 

But this mix is not just about the past, it is also showcasing where I’m heading. It includes a lot of new unreleased work. The last months have been rather unusual and that has given me opportunity to really think about where I want to go. Moreover it has given me the time to experiment, explore and engage in new projects. This has created a musical vision that is not limited to the clubbing scene. I want to create music that resonates.
