After releasing on Stil Vor Talent & Bar 25, Bloody Shelby delivers a quality EP with 3 original tracks on Plaisirs Sonores Records. The main title is a dancefloor killer with noisy arp and groovy bass. 'Skagen', a collaboration with his friend Convergence System is a trippy yet groovy track and 'Birch' is an exciting opening track.

There's also 3 stunning remixes part of it. A very dreamy one by Renato (DE) on 'Birch', an uplifting one by Severin Su on 'Skagen', and a raw techno oriented reinterpretation on 'Birch' by Lossless.

The creative connection between Mark Youssef & Novikoff is super strong. Each of their deftly crafted releases is a highly anticipated event for many DJs around the globe and their latest creation is no exception. ‘Last Night On Earth’ is powerfully engaging beast that floats melodic beauty on top of a swirling cauldron of bursting energy.

We're delighted to welcome Argia to the Trampoliner-family. Helena Piti is a Spanish Dj and producer that has been deeply in touch with music for her entire life. She studied piano and double bass at a conservatory at an early age. Her taste in music later evolved into electronic rhythms of all sorts. Argia's sound truly reflects her personality, elegant, playful and deep.

Her career has taken her quite far already, playing in many clubs in the Spanish capital of Madrid to festivals across the globe. Jeff Mills, Ellen Allien and Ralph Lawson are just a few names of artists she has shared the decks with. Production-wise she recently stirred things up with a brilliant compilation track on Modular Project's imprint 'Nothing is real' as well as an EP on the Spanish label 'Me'trica'.

The title track 'Where Were We' is a powerful and hypnotic one, that surely will set crowds into ecstasy. The second original track 'Bubbles' brings fine balance to the EP, taking the listener on a journey far away, reminiscing on the good days.

On remix duties, we have no other than Stevie R and Parisinos. The 'Inside Out Records' bosses deliver a trippy yet driving version of the title track, precisely the way we like it.

To complete the package we have the talented Swedish boys from NEAT. The 'Exploited Records' associates truly turn 'Bubbles' into their own. Analogue-cooking it up to perfection.

Although it’s been a year to forget for most of the electronic music scene, we’re happy to say that Nōpi has come through the tumultuous times stronger than ever. He began the year making his debut with us on the inaugural Blanche project, seizing the spotlight with an XYZ instant classic - Mayaya. Since then, he’s graced the likes of TRYBESof, Anjunadeep, and Kindisch, establishing himself at the core of the deep and melodic community.

As a final nod to his defining year thus far, we’re thrilled to have the Ukranianian back on the label to close the circle on 2020. Landscape Cloud is a project we’ve been looking forward to for many months, harnessing the tones that we’ve come to love from Nōpi.

On the A-side, he’s connected with Indian vocalist Shrii for a true beauty. Smooth percussion and deep pads set the stage for sumptuous and powerful vocals, kicking into gear with middle eastern instrumentals. Ominous yet uplifting; epic dancefloor moments are in store with Landscape Cloud at the helm.

Yorkshire-based label head, Alexander Church, is an adventurous artist who's been making music for over two decades, having run his own record shop in the mid-late 90s. His discography includes everything from melodic soundscapes to industrial techno under a range of aliases, always sourcing inspiration from his own deep thinking and desire to tell a personal story. 

Former post-punk band member James Welsh is just as free roaming, having made everything from bass to techno on labels like Futureboogie and Phantasy Sound. They have long been working together on some of electronic music’s most interesting projects and have now come together as the duo Common Factors to launch the new offshoot of Configurations of Self entitled Life Scripts. 

All the music for the new imprint is inspired by the use of boutique analog synthesizers from Buchla, Black Corporation, Portabella, and Erica Synths - including the Syntrx and Sky Dada System for this inaugural release.

Church on the theory behind the label:  
“We create stories about our lives, what they have been and what they will be. This starts in childhood where we weave our perceptions of ourselves and of the world around us into a narrative about what we can and will do. These life scripts then continue to have a deep and unconscious effect on how we live our lives. They shape our self-image, and yet we seldom realise where they come from and are often unaware that they exist at all. Our life scripts are often encouraged and shaped by parents and other family members, whose life scripts were shaped by their parents and so on. In this way, we become a product of our family's history. Likewise, our scripts are also woven by cultural and national forces. Life scripts are not all the same as they may also be significantly affected by individual events, such as being criticized by a teacher or bullied by other children. Life scripts can be very detailed and they can be very vague. They can be very empowering, yet they can also severely limit our lives.” 

The EP opens with six minutes of dreamy breakbeat action on ‘Five Clusters’, a track that is lit up with glistening synth lines and whirring bass, alien sound effects and bubbling pads that make it all the more absorbing. ‘Modelling’ is a subtly uplifting affair with old school post-rave energy, heavenly melodies and glistening FX all powered by dusty breaks. The brilliant ‘Disparaging Patterns’ is more intense, with a darker atmosphere and tightly woven drums, percussion, bass and synth lines all warping and wrapping around each other to hypnotic effect. Lastly, ‘Junctions' is a celestial piece of melodic electronica with ever-evolving lines and shifting chords suspending you in a sea of synth bliss. This is a strong start to what is set to be another fascinating new label from Church.
