Gorkiz has achieved measurable success in his career with great releases on labels such as Onedotsixtwo, Mango Alley and Clubsonica, and have earned play and support from big names of the Progressive Scene, for this EP he joined with the talented Bolivian Producer Zairi Torrez delivering stunning 3 tracks.
Main track "I feel fine" is a melodic house comfortably established between dreamy reverie and groovy bliss, a captivating daytime dance floor track filled with a natural elegance.
Brazilian duo GRIFE, with releases on Soundgarden, TrybesOf and other great labels, provide the interpretation of "I feel fine" adding some organic percussion and their sound signature creating a delightful dancefloor track.
The second track "Here Comes the Wind'' presents a progressive journey filled with organic elements and a mystic feeling on the track. Closing the EP, "Nothing Will be Impossible" presents a deeper design adding a special mood married with fluid rhythms, radiant atmospheres and percussive arrangements.

An artist who has risen to prominence in both the live and production arenas, Gavin Griffin finds himself at the centre of an ever-vibrant Melbourne music scene. Home to a host of iconic names and a sound that helped define the progressive house genre in the 2000s, his GMJ moniker has continued to shape the modern progressive sound. With over 400 production credits to his name, a century alongside long-term partner, Matter, GMJ has seen his music adorn the likes of Balance Music, Anjunadeep and Proton Music.

Opening his solo account on Meanwhile with October 2020’s “Mood Medicine”, collaborative EPs with Matter have seen “Lost on Origin”, “The Path / Perfect Storm” and “Eldarin” light up the label, alongside remixes for Simos Tagias, Roger Martinez and Matter himself.

Opening with the title track, “Empty to Fill” is a chunky, subterranean groove-fuelled monster. Bristling with menacing vibe, lighter moments come courtesy of floating synth motifs that glide to the fore in a stripped back breakdown of delicate keys and gloriously delayed sequences. A pulsating white-noise riser heralds a return of the club-friendly groove and gorgeous melodic flow in the latter stages.

Continuing with the trademark rolling groove that watermarks the GMJ sound, “Door of Light” sparkles with arpeggiated backdrop and reverse-reverb vocal breaths. Evolving immaculately, stratified sonic layers flourish as they entwine together in organic fashion. Counterpoint motifs coruscate above pulsing white-noise swells as the aptly named track waxes and wanes in perfect dancefloor cadence, before reaching a rousing crescendo in an immersive sonic tapestry.

The final piece sees the popping percussive vibrancy of “Stage Flight” sit atop a stereo-panned bass groove. Building over its 7-minute duration, syncopated synth riffs lock tightly into the driving framework that reaches its culmination with a chorus of breathy pads and a drop back into the rolling bassline and mirrored synth sequence. The resultant track is a powerful snapshot straight out of the GMJ production playbook.

Chock full of rhythmic force and multi-faceted layers of sound, “Empty to Fill” displays a sparkling 24-carat hallmark of the GMJ sound.

Saint-Petersburg based producer Jiminy Hop makes his debut on Hicky and Kalo's label Plaisirs Sonores Records with a timeless new EP called 'Parake'. The title track is a wonderful mix of organic drums, a groovy bassline, a fabulous cello line, and a magical flute that will hypnotize dancers.

The second track 'Didiza' follows the same path with some nifty drums, a groovy rhythm and a divine bassline. The piano melody is somewhat more gentle and the violins are beautiful.

Hicky and Kalo say: "We are super excited to welcome Jiminy to our label. We are big fan of his music, we played many of his tracks over the last few years. We were stunned when we listened to the tracks he sent us. We road-tested both track many times at Stereo Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. The crowd reaction is always on point. With Matthias Meyer enjoying a fantastic year, the in-demand Berlin-based Producer & DJ revisits the debut release on his Strangely Enough label, with emotional and powerful remixes from acclaimed producers and friends Guy Mantzur & Tamir Regev, Amine K, Urmet K, and Forty Cats, released together on 29 July.

Each of the producers have added their own special touch to the ‘Strangely Enough’ remixes to ensure an exciting variety of updates which are perfect for this summer’s busy festival and club season. From the Guy Mantzur and Tamir Regev’s poignant peak-time reworking, to Amine K’s two deeper, yet magical remixes. Urmet K delivers a stirring update ideal for sunset sets, whilst Forty Cats takes her version into atmospheric and progressive house territory.

Matthias Meyer said: “’Strangely Enough’ is an important track for me and the reason I started the label. Whilst everybody loved it, it didn’t fit on any labels. I wanted to have some new, playable versions for this summer. Guy Mantzur is one of my favourites and he really transformed it into an emotional banger. Amine K has been a good friend for around 10 years and his version is less straight, but has some wicked melodies. Urmet made a nice, deep and soft All Day I Dream kind of version. Forty Cats’s update is also really nice. It has more of a proggy vibe, which I like to play out too.”

Matthias Meyer’s debut label release, ‘Strangely Enough’, was released in Spring 2021 and included support from RÜFÜS DU SOL, Solomun, Sasha, Adriatique, Rampa, and James Grant. Meyer released ‘The Choir’ EP on Strangely Enough in early 2022 which showcased his trademark diverse and eclectic sound, whilst brimming full of emotion and energy. This was backed by Matthias Meyer touring worldwide, at packed venues.

'Label favourite Luciano Scheffer, the Brazilian DJ and producer, returns to the ever-reliable Hope Recordings.

We are treated to a pair of new gems, kicking off with 'Sinceridade'. From the off, we're instantly lulled in with a brooding and infectious bassline that bubbles and sets the tone with some hazy and dreamy vibes, while an underlying energy throbs away. The track gently intensifies as the layers expand and the grittiness increases, all while still leaving an ethereal feeling of warmth throughout. Solid!

Next up, it's 'Austral', with its full-on dramatic soundscape, fusing darker and tougher flavours with the incessant 3-note riff, and all underpinned by a warm blanket for additional depth. The breakdown is a mystical voyage of its own as we are treated to a new top line that lifts the vibe once again. It's a biggie.'
