After the confrontational Jack Carel EP in February, Whypeopledance is back with Marching Machines’ "Basement“ EP, a release dedicated to all the flashes you’re having of the culture we miss so much, to each hiss of the fog machine you remember, everybody you ever touched on the dance floor, and each staircase that took you underground.

Marching Machines are electronic music producer Dimitri Andreas, and former Radius Records boss and DJ, Spacid, both proudly wearing t-shirts saying „More than two decades in the biz“, and hailing from the country that gave the world some of the best electronic music ever, Belgium! Their new EP contains three original tracks, two remixes, and one instrumental, bringing us to a total of 6 reasons to peek through the keyhole and check out what’s hiding in the "Basement“.

Starting off with „Clamps“, Marching Machines open with a track for the nipples of the world and every club toilet queue you ever waited. The second track „Spreader“ brings you to the deepest darkroom fantasies by presenting memorable melodies. „Leash“ introduces deviant howls and nasty verses by Lithuania’s best-kept secret, Jaroška, something that would easily go on repeat in Gaspard Noe’s RECTUM club from Irreversible.
We are also happy to introduce two very unique flips to fill the basement's prophecy. Carcass Identity remix of „Leash“ is lubed to the bone, an omen of an incoming trip for the dirtiest of dancers. The second remixer on the EP is Five Rituals taking the originally singing synths of the future and cold-blooded march in the „Spreader“ for a walk on the break side of things.

The track "Leash (feat. Jaroška)" is as captivating as it is punchy, with the perfect amount of substance, it is presented with a powerful style that ranges from classic to edgy. Enjoy!

Gallo. (@galloalexandre) is a french producer and DJ. He strongly believes that the mix of genres and feelings in a track is a source of enrichment : He is inspired by multiples genres techno, afro, indie, pop and rock. DJ T. is a titan of the scene, co-founder of this label, journalist and encyclopedia of electronic music knowledge. From his club-ready singles to his more adventurous and immersive albums via side projects like his Mathami alias, he never stops evolving and helping to define the underground sound of now. He now follows up his last single 'Rapture' on this label back in November with another fresh cut. 

The superb 'Move Your Body' is a bubbling house cut with warm, soft-focus synth patterns rising up through the mix. The paddy drums swing low and roll to catchy effect while filtered vocals add some human soul. A new and pixelated lead takes over later on to really ensure the crowd goes to the next level.

The original and VIP versions set the foundation at 92 bpm, while Cavedweller’s remix adds a dark sub‑bass layer that changes the mood without touching the tempo. Juliano Gomez and Oondza pick up the pace slightly, delivering groovy slow‑techno renditions. Alacrán del Amor and Fernn go even further, turning the track into slow‑techno bangers with their signature bouncy touches. vietzen closes the EP with a progressive house remix that builds tension and plays creatively with the original elements.

Despite the BPM shifts, all versions keep the melodic thread that makes “Passerine” instantly recognisable.

Let's welcome back home Vlad Jet to Sincopat after his first appearance in our BeenTouched series. Hailing from the burning electronic scene of Odessa, Ukraine, he is definitely an artist to follow along this 2020. Moreover, this Spectrum EP comes with a massive remix by Sincopat ́s Big Kahuna AFFKT.
Fusion opens the box with a smart and cinematic leitmotiv focused on the dancefloor, offering a bumping rhythm and some special synths.
