New from Guy J’s exceptional imprint, Lost & Found comes two original tracks from Dutch wonder, Budakid due for release on January 26th.

Signed to Einmusika, All Day I Dream and Last Night On Earth among others has helped the plucky young Berlin- based Dutchman to ascend the heights of the Progressive scene in a matter of years. Self taught and influenced by everyone from Todd Terje to Caribou means that Budakid isn’t weighed down by certain musical conformities and is free to create delicate, flowing melodica that has gained the interest of well-known media outlets such as Deep House Amsterdam, FAZE magazine and Thump.

Leading the way is ‘Memories’, an elegantly paced deep progressive number sparse in percussion but packed full of emotive nuance. The ebb and flow of twinkly arps and warming pads transport the listener far away from their troubles over a blissful six and a half minutes.

Flip over and ‘On An Empty Page’ elicits a different emotional response; no less visceral, no less powerful. Growing from meandering pads and cold sonics, it warms over the course of the track as new motifs add subtle layers of emotion.

'Euphydryas EP is a profound and elegant form of house music based on delicate details and emotional melodies.

Rowee is signing this first collection on his new label Saturn Return, describing it as “a deep introduction into mental house music, the beginning of a subconscious journey that opens the way for future releases".

'Desert Rain' weird harmonies suggest a tense counterbalance of conflicting feelings. It’s dark, relentless, and makes substantial demands on the listeners, floating through outer space through an injection of straight rhythm, bassline and sparkly fairytale synths.

'Origami' immediate sound that oozes personality, a labyrinth of melodies with multiple emotional notes that takes you through a process of abstraction. Ideas and techniques without feeling scattershot.

'Jewel Of The Seas' the buildup of its lead-synths melody is its catharsis -an ecstasy-inducing moment attempting to explore the beefier bassline and a greater sense of drama.'
