At the peak of summer, we celebrate the 25th edition of the LOKD mixtape series. For this first little jubilee we received a jewel. The tape was dug up, cut and polished by our dear friend, Bonjour Ben. 

When Ben puts together his music, there is no compromise. His sets always have a storyline and a red thread. About Ben’s selection he says: `My personal ambition as a DJ has always been to take my listeners on a journey with my sets and not just put together my 10 favorite tracks(..). ` Passion and skill can't come together in a better way.

With the help of the tight DJ community, he has established his organic sound has become a staple of the organic and intercultural house scene, including appearances in Berlin (Watergate, About Blank, Sisyphos, katerblau), Amsterdam, Zürich, London, Sao Paulo, NYC, Cape Town and more...

Ben approach is hypnotic, he embarks us gently but surely in his dreamy universe. He is very creative and delicate. His sets feels like an endless flow, two hours becomes six and feels like ten minutes. We forget about time and the outside world, we are drown into the present moment and don’t want to leave this
world filled with softness.

Influenced by mzansi house, kwaito, gqom, and jazz, his sets carry the weight of the city’s underground energy while weaving in the deep, atmospheric textures of dub, ambient, and minimal acquired during later years spent delving into the Berlin and Barcelona nightlife scenes. Now based in Zurich, he has refined his approach, shaping a sound that is introspective, groovy and immersive.

Slade is part of Alquimica Records, a collective and creative concept dedicated to bringing a dynamic African and Latin electronic sound to the heart of Europe.
