Nine One eams up with both Lo-Kaus and Ritmik to bring us the Kepler EP on Sprout.

Opening proceeding we find Nine One & Lo-Kaus deliver the title track 'Kepler', a hypnotic and deeper melodic driver, full of mystique, with its subtleness underpinned by a bubbling energy, creating tension. Sophisticated coolness throughout.

Next up Nine One collaborates with Ritmik for 'A New Way of Life'. This is a solid slab of Sprout goodness, with plenty of energy and tinkly blippy arp vibes gelling everything together. A dreamy pad breakdown brings in some emotion, as the stepped tones warm your heart before returning to its energetic self.

Dabeat and Kamilo Sanclemente step up on remix duties and take on Kepler, adding a hazy and dramatic breakdown to pull at your heartstrings. A beautiful reworking bringing some much needed hope to the dance floors of the World.

Rounding things off nicely, A New Way of Life is reworked by label boss D-Nox teaming up with the talented Italian producer Gai Barone. This tasty retweak is a phat and tripped out biggie, fusing empathy with a wonkiness.

The German label-founder spoke on what the release embodies, stating: “Music From Space (Dimension A) is the brand new edition of this compilation concept, which you can take literally as it comes. I’m very happy to have collected eight exclusive tracks from the likes of Swedish Lady Molø, our newest signing Pôngo, ex-youngster Rodriguez Jr. and many more besides.”

Italian pairing Hunter / Game begin the journey with No Man’s Land, a slow-building piece packed full of ethereal synths and cosmic-themed vocal tones. Croatia’s Petar Dundov ups the tempo on Andante, showcasing his hallmark techno-trance sound through poignant chords and driving kick-hat combos, before longstanding Systematic affiliate Rodriguez Jr. arrives with Mare Serenitatis. A six-minute showcase in stripped-back, melodic groove, the celestial cut rises and falls with a gentle lucidity, opening beautifully into Fleut. Produced by rising Swedish artist Molø, shimmering keys
reside atop whispering hats to create an introspective dancefloor number, paving the way for the VA’s first collaboration: Eternity, courtesy of Systematic head Marc Romboy and Bedrock regular Oniris.
Breaks-inspired percussion marries up next to hauntingly-beautiful string solos, as the sounds of Germany and France collide.

Original techno luminary Scan X makes his label debut with Stellar Nebula, a late-night creeper that represents extraterrestrial worlds far removed from ours. We’re soon graced with the starry-eyed sounds of Pôngo, whose vocal offering leaves us in a state of reflection on Blind, before Munich mainstay Julian Wassermann transports us to martian territory with The Red Planet. An apt title, it acts as the penultimate track on the VA and sets the tone for the final collaborative effort:Neutron, produced by two electronic music veterans in the form of Oliver Linge and Olaf Pozsgay.

Eliza Noble and Jennifer Skillman are Eli & Fur: the British live act, singer-songwriter and producer duo. Swiss label Drumpoet Community celebrates its 15th anniversary with various releases from artists who have played a significant role in the label’s history and beyond. After first festivity outings from Lauer, All Is Well, Manuel Tur, Roman Flügel or Kalabrese, the time for a retreatment of Jimi Jules’ track Too Young For Me (feat. Jaw), which was originally released on Jimi’s Equinox album on Zukunft in 2016, from long-term friend and considerable artist Ripa alias Ripperton. With releases on ESP Institute, Maeve, Compost or on his very own label Tamed, just to name a few, Ripa’s made a name for himself that goes beyond the so called underground but despite his (international) success has managed to stay true to himself as well as his musical roots and implemented a sound of his own throughout the years of his career. A raw and stripped back bass line sets the foundation of Ripa’s remix approach for Too Young For Me, which is added the original vocals and a simple yet subtle array of chords creating some warmth, and almost funky harmony in the overall pretty techno-ish coming in track. Less is more in this case and Ripperton masters this approach in the best way possible to create a remix that truly deserves to bear the name.

Wow, hadn't realised what a journey SoundCloud would take me on.  After many years of passive listening to music I've dieted on a variety of tastes.
