With 44 releases across 12 years since its inception, Butane’s infamous Alphahouse imprint closes its doors this June as he welcomes long time colleagues and friends Alexi Delano and Worldline to shape up the final EP on the label ‘Omega’.

Having established the imprint back in 2005, Andrew Rasse aka Butane’s Alphahouse has served as an example of unapologetic underground quality and curation for over a decade. With previous releases from the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Ryan Crosson, Ion Ludwig, Quenum, Mark Broom and of course Rasse himself, the final Alphahouse EP welcomes back another staple of the imprints success, Chilean Alexi Delano, and mysterious American talent Worldline who marks his debut on the label.

The A-side sees Delano and Rasse effortlessly re-combine and pick up where they left off in 2013. ‘Bass Theory’ is an energetic, blooming production that lays the focus on raw crunchy drum licks, chunky bass slabs and an ever evolving melody that eases listeners into a state of trance, before ‘Jazz Lick’ reveals a lighter aesthetic with a delicate jazz-infused lead line, filtered vocal loops and crisp organic percussion that hold the production in sync.

On the flip Butane is joined by a new collaborator, Los Angeles-based underground fashion designer Worldline for two brooding cuts. ‘How Deep’ kicks things off showcasing eerie low ends layered beneath tripped out vocals and hypnotic, meandering chords. ‘What We Do’ wraps up the esteemed Alphahouse catalog in style. An underground manifesto with a trademark Butane groove and Wordline’s vocals punctuating over a decade of work. That’s a wrap.

In true Alphahouse style, Rasse signs off here alongside two extremely talented artists with an EP that radiates understated sophistication and intricacy throughout, whilst opening the door to his new project ‘Extrasketch’ in the most fitting and suitable way imaginable. Stay tuned; this is only just the beginning…

Swedish DJ Adeline lands on Crosstown Rebels with You*re Sick, a diverse four track release that features a stunning remix from Rex Club regular D’Julz.

The EP opens with the title track You*re Sick. Pronounced kicks merge with subtle pads, as an enchanting vocal sample whispers along. Bubble-like pops are brought in alongside intermittent hi-hats, creating a real dance-floor ready record. The D’Julz dub comes next. Staying true to the original, the addition of an electro-like breakdown builds energy, before that addictively-good kick is brought back in. Dust To Bone is a fast-paced minimal thumper, that takes no prisoners as it moves along with a wholesome bassline and softly driving percussion, before Rite De Passage rounds off the EP with powerful pads and warm keys.

Brought up in the rolling Swedish countryside, Adeline is a DJ, producer and vocalist whose talents reach far further than the DJ booth. Having founded electronic music duo Housewives with La Fleur in 2006, Adeline has gone on to release standout productions on the likes of Culprit and Kindisch Records. D’Julz is an artist whose presence in the scene has been felt for decades. For twenty two years, the French native has been running the now legendary “Bass Culture” night at Rex Club, and has hosted some of the scenes most respected DJs in recent times, including Seth Troxler, Sonja Moonear and Nicolas Lutz.

We welcome one of the greatest and most promising artists of the Nicaraguan underground music scene. Freddy Hz is a talented music producer and DJ based in Bacerlona, Spain. This is Freddy's debut appearance on Cuicacalli Music.
His most recent release showcases his great talent and future he has. "Justicia Divina" named as the EP itself, it's the darkest song of this fantastic EP. It exhibits an energetic dark sound and a solid beat blended with a very progressive synth melody.
As usual in Freddy's style, "Moyogalpa" involves hypnotic melodies, led by a synth that transports your mind and soul to a state of peace. 
"Namek" is the third song of the EP. It presents a masterful sound, a tremendous atmosphere and a great development of the melody throughout the whole song. It's a very entertaining track, which takes you on a great adventure - perfect to enjoy anywhere. This track demonstrates once again Freddy's characteristic synth sound and unique style.
