With 44 releases across 12 years since its inception, Butane’s infamous Alphahouse imprint closes its doors this June as he welcomes long time colleagues and friends Alexi Delano and Worldline to shape up the final EP on the label ‘Omega’.

Having established the imprint back in 2005, Andrew Rasse aka Butane’s Alphahouse has served as an example of unapologetic underground quality and curation for over a decade. With previous releases from the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Ryan Crosson, Ion Ludwig, Quenum, Mark Broom and of course Rasse himself, the final Alphahouse EP welcomes back another staple of the imprints success, Chilean Alexi Delano, and mysterious American talent Worldline who marks his debut on the label.

The A-side sees Delano and Rasse effortlessly re-combine and pick up where they left off in 2013. ‘Bass Theory’ is an energetic, blooming production that lays the focus on raw crunchy drum licks, chunky bass slabs and an ever evolving melody that eases listeners into a state of trance, before ‘Jazz Lick’ reveals a lighter aesthetic with a delicate jazz-infused lead line, filtered vocal loops and crisp organic percussion that hold the production in sync.

On the flip Butane is joined by a new collaborator, Los Angeles-based underground fashion designer Worldline for two brooding cuts. ‘How Deep’ kicks things off showcasing eerie low ends layered beneath tripped out vocals and hypnotic, meandering chords. ‘What We Do’ wraps up the esteemed Alphahouse catalog in style. An underground manifesto with a trademark Butane groove and Wordline’s vocals punctuating over a decade of work. That’s a wrap.

In true Alphahouse style, Rasse signs off here alongside two extremely talented artists with an EP that radiates understated sophistication and intricacy throughout, whilst opening the door to his new project ‘Extrasketch’ in the most fitting and suitable way imaginable. Stay tuned; this is only just the beginning…

A year after ‘Together / That’s Right’, long-time friends and sonic sparring partners Steve Bug and Cle return to Rejected with two more statements of timeless intent that tap into the classic foundations of true techno story telling.

Long builds, emotional chords, layers and narrative twists are the devils in the detail as the pair present another couple of ageless hypnotic trips: The craftily titled ‘Tweaky Blinders’ takes the lead with its sombre one stroke chords whispering over the robust kicks and salubrious subs while the wily acid flurries between the spaces. Stately, immersive and coded with sentiment; drop it and watch the crowd march in unison.

The equally wryly titled ‘Bark Side Of The Moog’ follows suit. Once again there’s a solemn air to the chords as they sway with pensive poignancy. This time the drum arrangement is much more full frontal and unavoidable. Rolling with a sense of momentum that’s almost mid 90s prog in its energy, shine and behaviour, yet again Steve and Cle have nailed the timeless feel. Hopefully this will become an annual thing and they’ll return to Rejected for another round this time next year….

Swedish DJ Adeline lands on Crosstown Rebels with You*re Sick, a diverse four track release that features a stunning remix from Rex Club regular D’Julz.

The EP opens with the title track You*re Sick. Pronounced kicks merge with subtle pads, as an enchanting vocal sample whispers along. Bubble-like pops are brought in alongside intermittent hi-hats, creating a real dance-floor ready record. The D’Julz dub comes next. Staying true to the original, the addition of an electro-like breakdown builds energy, before that addictively-good kick is brought back in. Dust To Bone is a fast-paced minimal thumper, that takes no prisoners as it moves along with a wholesome bassline and softly driving percussion, before Rite De Passage rounds off the EP with powerful pads and warm keys.

Brought up in the rolling Swedish countryside, Adeline is a DJ, producer and vocalist whose talents reach far further than the DJ booth. Having founded electronic music duo Housewives with La Fleur in 2006, Adeline has gone on to release standout productions on the likes of Culprit and Kindisch Records. D’Julz is an artist whose presence in the scene has been felt for decades. For twenty two years, the French native has been running the now legendary “Bass Culture” night at Rex Club, and has hosted some of the scenes most respected DJs in recent times, including Seth Troxler, Sonja Moonear and Nicolas Lutz.

'Music Is 4 Lovers continue their Global Lovers compilation series this August. The follow-up to the series’ inaugural release, volume two takes us to the beautiful land of Italy with five fresh tracks from the country’s hottest up-and-coming producers.

The compilation starts off with a Roman-Venetian collab from Berny & OniWax; with its mystic melodies and driving bass line, this tune is a great jumping off point. Hailing from Naples, White Klown constructs a tech-filled whirlwind of a track; while fiery techno duo, POLS, deliver a hard-hitting industrial triumph out of Italy’s Veneto region. Heider lightens up the mood, contributing a dance floor friendly tech house gem from the outskirts of Milan. And to round off the compilation, M.F.S: Observatory come out of the shadow of Mount Vesuvius with a raw house tune made for peak time at the dance hall.
