The "Wrong Bottle EP" comes from Essen Germany's Tim Reichelt aka Timboletti. For his debut on Sol Selectas, he brings us two original tracks inspired by long nights and unforgettable weekends he experienced DJing the European Festival circuit at places like Fusion, 3000 Grad, and Goulash Disko. "Wrong Bottle" is exactly that - an accidental journey into the psyche brought on by a sip from a stranger's drink. As the percussion builds you close your eyes, and open them to a flock of wind instruments circling around you.  The trip gets intense and freaky at times, with acid arpeggios swirling around in your brain,  but after a while, you regain control and land back on planet Earth. The next day you wake up with a  "Salty Mind", things are bit foggy inside your head, but you are barefoot walking around and whistling in the sunshine. The beams of light hit your face like a thing of beauty, much like the field recordings of  the Ayuahasca ceremony Timboletti had 10 years ago in Ecuador, that come to life in this song.

The 50th release on Sol Selectas Records comes from the label founder himself - Sabo, and features the musical talents of a mother & her son, as represented by the title Earth & Sun. Twenty year old Elijah Sage plays the ancient ravanhatta string instrument on the opening track "Young Wisdom", weaving an emotional mid tempo blanket to lie under the Sun.  "Obatala" is the story of the Sky Father Orisha, who creates all human bodies according to Yoruban mythology. The deep tribal groove is complemented by the vocals of Elijah's mother Nikila Badua, representing the roots of the Earth. 

Nicola Cruz from Ecuador, delivers a stellar remix of "Obatala"  taking us high into the Andes Mountains, where organic percussion and live marimbas flow like wind through the valleys. Blond:ish transforms "Young Wisdom" into a psychedelic tech house trip, adding infectious build ups and mind-altering  drums for peak time energy. And lastly Paris' Birds of Mind take us on a voyage into deep bliss with their ethereal reinterpretation of "Young Wisdom". 
The artwork by Helia Jamali, represents the loving balance between the Earth & Sun, and the energy they have created, makes the puppy flower dance in the desert wind.

For our 3rd release, we present a single EP produced by Jiony, with soothing vocals from Ana Karen, coming from the heart of the contemporary downtempo scene in Mexico.

Co-founder of Mexico City based electronic music label VAA, Jiony marinates his own live looping and improvisation on his best friends - keyboards, with a therapeutical voice, Ana Karen. After their collaboration on VAA back in 2016, the duo shows how perfectly Ana’s voice and Jiony’s slow synth game blends.

First remix comes from Pigmalião, touching back to his Brazilian roots with the percussions after launching his new label I Lost My Poncho, closing the curtain with his dreamy synths. Quixosis finds Pigmaliao’s lost poncho and creates a hypnotic texture with twisting the vocals and Jungel brings us back again to the sea side with his guitar.
