To HVOB, it's a multimedia art project that combines audio, video, and art installation tactics into one creative gestalt. You can preview the oeuvre here before its release on November 28, as HVOB has sent it to us in lieu of a mix for our EB Radio series. The EP, which includes remixes from Gui Boratto and Acid Pauli, foreshadows a forthcoming album due out next year.

The first Musik For Autobahns was a delight: softly-softly ambient and subtle cuts from the likes of Move D, Suzanne Kraft, Roman Flügel and plenty more besides. Even amongst Rush Hour's bounty that year, it stood proudly out. A ripple of excitement went through BR HQ upon finding out Gerd Janson was lining up a second, with no shortage of marquee signings all coming correct with their A game.

A number of heads come together to translate these thoughts into sound - from Fort Romeau's Drive-esque "Seleno" joyride through to the propulsive "Melancholy" of Disco Nihilist. Perhaps none elicit as many feels as the enveloping opener from Leon Vynehall though.

As well as being a mesmeric mimic of accelerating down Bundesautobahn 5 at daybreak, "Midnight on Rainbow Road" got our Debut nod for three main reasons: firstly, it kicked off last year's sublime set from Gerd & Ata (so, about time); second, it's a welcome return for Mr Vynehall after a richly deserved breakout year; third, dude's got previous with N64 titling. And that's something we can all get behind.

Felipe Torquato aka Spaniol is the creator and resident of the Colectivo Sonido Trópico of São Paulo with whom he created transcendental parties in the city center. At 7 years old he chose a path of music and to never stray.

His sound is a mixture of all that surrounds him. He takes elements of classical music and flashes of Brazilian popular music, managing to make his live set a unique and edgy mix of electronic, caimbó, jazz, samba, regional music, and drum machine.

Felipe Torquato aka Spaniol es creador y residente del Colectivo Sonido Trópico de São Paulo, con el que ha creado fiestas trascendentales en el centro de la ciudad. A los 7 años eligió el camino de la música para no soltarlo más.
