The MDs celebrate the holy trinity of adrenaline, libido, and rock & roll, their incendiary live sets offering a defiantly bacchanalian counterpoint to the peace-and-groove reveries of their post-disco rock contemporaries. Both their sound and their sensibility remain consequential to successive generations.  Back in the day, when a whirlwind of new sounds and musical exploration was the rule,  The MDs laid the foundation for their rad punk, deafeningly loud, and uncompromisingly intense sound.
