Pirate Copy follow up their Beatport Deep House smash ‘Can’t Live Without It’ with their vinyl only debut
Featuring a trademark remix from Detroit born, Berlin based Kris Wadsworth.
 
Pirate Copy are a DJ/Production crew from Manchester and have been making their mark in their hometown playing live sets at the legendary Parklife Festival, Warehouse Project and the recently launched Gorilla as well as gracing the decks at Space, Ibiza this summer. On top of the gigs Pirate Copy are keeping busy in the studio with forthcoming remixes for US label ‘Get Slow’ and Horatio’s ‘Natural Rhythm’.
 
‘Talk That Pimp Shit’ is a perfect example of the Pirate Copy Deep House sound that’s seen them go from strength to strength over the summer and backed up by an experimental electronica remix from Kris Wadsworth who brings his experience of playing the likes of Watergate, Panorama Bar, Fabric, Tresor, Rex etc to the table. With DJ Mag decscribing Wadsworth as “Disturbingly brilliant” and Mixmag “Freakishly Good” this is a release not to be missed!

Recorded at home on an iphone using multitrackDAW  - the pedals with an Apogee Jam, everything else straight to the microphone. I don't mind the hiss. I love the sound of the harmonics. Simple things. It's really not mixed. It's certainly not mastered.

Hailing from the leafy surrounds of South London's Camberwell, the Videogamemusic label launches next month with a cassette/digital compilation entitled All Star Mode Volume 1 which features a high profile cast of contributors including Ondness, Not Waving, Bantam Lions, Uio Loi and more. The more switched on will have probably guessed that the sounds of computer games represent the driving influence for the label, who describe All Star Mode Volume 1 as "eclectic accumulation of tracks inspired by/based on/dedicated to/resembling, literally or loosely, music from video games".

Ahead of it's release next month, we are premiering Not Waving's contribution "Barbarian", a harshly textured exercise in feedback laden soundscapes inspired by the cultish '80s Commodore 64 game Barbarian: The Ultimate Warrior. Those wishing to get a fuller idea of the forthcoming compilation can preview some of the other tracks on the label's Soundcloud page.

Over the past few years, BNJMN has fostered a name for himself through rich slabs of intricately cut techno. Having offered up material to Delsin's 100DSR compilation series last year, he finally looms large with a proper debut on the label with a six-track EP, due Sept 22nd.

'Berth' really stakes out his intentions for the new record: wide-eyed and wild, it's a hugely inventive left-turn into hallucinatory technoid experimentation. What's more, this one airs with his new video too: a strange dreamwalk into the uncanny visual world of Jonathan Omer Mizrahi.

Took a bit of a break from demos and releases after extending the family with a cute little boy, but now we’re back with some of the best deep techno and house lined up for you! But first, something completely different.
Michele Mininni hails from the south of Italy and counts everything from post- and krautrock over new wave, house and disco amongst his influences. He’s been a DJ for years, but only recently released his debut EP on Optimo Trax in Glasgow. He immediately found himself on the playlists of Beats In Space and Rinse FM. We were literally blown away when he sent us his music and didn’t hesitate to release it although it’s not what you’re used to hear from us. It’s hard to describe ‘Endless Ceremony’. Epic, but not as you know it. Cosmic, definitely.
For the remix we thought of Rocketnumbernine. Two brothers with releases on Soul Jazz, Four Tet’s Text label and more recently an album on Smalltown Supersound. Currently touring with James Holden and  Neneh Cherry. Their remix could be described as almost dreamy electronica/idm.
We think this is a really special release. The following people already agree: Gavin Russom, Âme, Ripperton, A Made Up Sound, James Holden, Optimo, Deadbeat, Tim Sweeney, Locked Groove… First pressing on coloured vinyl!

In Hour 2 we hand over to worriedaboutsatan, the electronic duo who worked with Adam Curtis on the music for the incredible Hypernormalisation documentary. Music featured includes tracks from Pye Corner Audio, Burial, Brian Eno & Harold Budd, Nine Inch Nails, Suicide and some of their own productions. They had this to say about their mix;
"As we helped Adam Curtis with the music in Hypernormalisation, it seemed like an idea to try and make a mix out of selected moments of the soundtrack for our Solid Steel mix. Even at 17 tracks long, there are still some bits of the soundtrack not included here - this was an attempt to meld together some of the more obscure and melodic moments, so we hope you enjoy. "

Their third proper album, ‘Blank Tape’ is released on the 25th November. They’re playing two shows in November to celebrate: one in London at the Wildcard Brewery on the 24th, and one in Manchester at the Castle on the 28th, then heading out on a UK tour in February.

Arrhythmia is an irregular heartbeat.

We'd had this track in various forms ever since we wrote Heart Monitor as <a href="http://www.soundcloud.com/worriedaboutsatan">worriedaboutsatan</a> back in 2010.

We redesigned the track, which had been almost forgotten, into a Ghosting Season song, and carried on the theme of Heart Monitors and heartbeats, by calling it Arrhythmia.  Quite a lot of our music is connected like that.
