In December 2024, I decided to take the leap and learn music production. In January 2025, I took a challenge to make a beat per week for the entire year. I got up to 22 weeks of consistency for my Beat per Week challenge. Unfortunately, I had to stop because of IRL responsibilities, but in those 22 weeks, I've learned a VAST amount of things and exponentially grown my production skills.

These are all the songs I made from the beginning of my music journey in December 2024, up to before my first official single release in December 2025.

All these songs are rough -- they're raw. It's a record of my musical journey from the first year of my production journey. It's a record of all my learning from musical production & composition to mixing & mastering. So some songs may be louder than others, others may have really poor or wide mixes, and some songs are just bad lol.

I am SUPER happy with this one. Super happy with the turn out! I had so much fun with this track. This is the first track where I feel satisfied with pretty much every aspect.

Shout out to @exophonicmusic for the idea to chop up vocals. Wasn't planning on learning vocal chopping yet, but what better time than now, yeah?

Track 22/52 done. I'm a week late, but that's okay.

Honestly not a fan of the mix. It's not terrible, but I think the drums need work. I need to figure out how to control my kick/snare peak a bit better.

The melody's my favorite part -- thank you @glxycomposer for the sick melody lesson! But that's probably the only part I really like. LOL.

But still, learned quite a few valuable lessons for this track.

Midnight Motion

So, unfortunately I'm no longer doing a track per week. It was a great 22 weeks, and half the year honestly isn't that bad.

But in those 22 weeks of what I'd like to consider my production boot camp journey, I've learned an incredible amount. And this is what I'd consider a culmination of that 22 week journey -- and the beginning of something so much more.

So now, I think it's time to really start fleshing out and giving my future tracks a bit more love.

Thank you @exophonicmusic & @stellaria_vt for teaching me along the way for this track. I've improved so much and it's been such a blast to create music.

I've named this track 「ありがとう」 as I'm so incredibly grateful to those who have taught me along the way, but especially to the God who continually blesses me and allows me to create in this newfound hobby I now have a passion for.

I had such a hard time trying to figure out a bassline for these colorful chords. Everything I did felt so dissonant and out of key lol. Thank you @stellaria_vt for the assistance in it! Simultaneously, however, this was such an insanely fun track to work on, and it taught me a significant amount.

If the bass still sounds off, I tried my best lol.
