Lately

Well, this cover is a sort of stripped down version of another work called Interstellish (that is a mash-up bewtween Interstellar main theme and this Billie Eilish' song, as the name should suggest - I hope it works ahah-). In fact you should be able to hear the piano on the verses playing Hans Zimmers' famous theme. 

I realized both of these works together with some "musical fellows". If you end up being interested don't worry! You can find the videos on TY at Tiny Room Harmonies!
The reason why we did these is because we really love blending arts together and this was a great great opportunity to mix our passion for cinema, music and video-making.

In fact, the animated video of the acoustic version (of which you see a frame here used as cover for the upload)is by Denise Capasso. The wonderful voice comes from Silvia Alfonzetti instead.

"Que reste-t-il de nos amours ?" What Remains of Our Loves?  This song was first recorded by the French female singer Lucienne Boyer in 1942. Music by Léo Chauliac and Charles Trenet and lyrics by Charles Trenet. A version of the song with English lyrics entitled "I Wish You Love" is recognizable by the opening line "I wish you bluebirds, in the spring".

Austel (aka Devon-born London-based artist and producer Annie Rew Shaw) reworks her EPs ‘Unfold’ and ‘Cold Love’ into intimate, ethereal piano versions on new album, ‘Feathers’.

Influenced by the ambient textures of Jon Hopkins, brooding piano ballads of Nick Cave, and subtly powerful compositions of Olafur Arnalds, ‘Feathers’ flows as a seamless body of work. The otherworldly atmospherics and layers of piano and strings are laced with soporific substance, forming a hypnotic soundscape. 

Front and centre is Austel’s vocal: unguarded and intimate, but still possessing a dynamic power and depth. The songs are laced with her signature ghostly backing vocals drenched in reverb, contributing to the ‘haunting’ nature of her work. 

Some songs have been totally transformed into instrumental versions, whereas others invite the listener to hear the lyrics in a whole new light. The album ends with a brand new release: a lulling cover of ‘Horses In My Dreams’ by PJ Harvey, rich with swelling cello harmonies.
