I work in different styles, as the inspiration, dreams or bubonic plagiarism comes! I use Logic Pro X on Mac.
 
I write, produce and play all my own stuff (unless otherwise stated), play vintage Tokai Strats mainly, PRS Torero, Steinberger, Gretsch G2627T, Classical, Fender Dreadnought, Yamaha and Rickenbacker basses, keyboards and sax. I use Native Instrument's Komplete, Omnisphere 2 and my own organic samples.

I mix on Sennheiser HD 280 Pro's and HD 650's (closed and open headphones) when not making a bigger noise through my Yamaha HS8 studio monitors. I use Focusrite Clarett 2Pre ThunderBolt and Apogee audio interfaces, Neumann & iSK condenser & AKG dynamic mics.

Der Berliner Künstler Jim Anders steht für tanzbare elektronische Sounds und Texte am Puls der Zeit. Beeinflusst von vielseitigen urbanen Musikstilen, kreiert er einen ganz eigenen mitreißenden Sound. Seine Texte mit Tiefgang geben dabei Raum zur Reflektion. Wo energetische Beats auf modernen Elektropop treffen, wird der Großstadtdschungel zur Leinwand und der Rausch im Club tanzbar.



Als Soundtüftler und Sänger führte ihn sein breites musikalisches Interesse auf Ausflüge in Elektro Duos, Rap- und Avantgarde Projekte, wodurch er sein Talent entwickelt hat, unterschiedliche Stilrichtungen neu zu denken und sie zu etwas Einzigartigem zu mixen. Das Ergebnis ist die 1. veröffentlichte Jim Anders EP Lauf!, die in Eigenregie im heimischen Studio bei BaumSoundBerlin entstanden ist und mit 6 kraftvollen Tracks aufwartet. All tracks  are recorded in a spontaneous manner typically in a single take. Most lyrics are also spontaneous improvisations derived from the feelings of the moment. We let the guitar and drums interact and the music just happens. Most if not all of the music is inspired from this interaction.

The recording equipment up until January 2019 consisted of a dated Fostex 8 track and a few microphones...We simply lay down a guitar and drum track and let it unfold the way you are hearing it by bouncing tracks. We just have to make music to live. Music of any kind, music that speaks for itself... 

In January 2019 recording equipment was upgraded to Logic X and a UA Apollo MKll Quad Core Recording interface...We entered a new building and still trying to find the light switch so bare with us as we keep lighting matches...
