This is most likely the very 1st QOTSA song I ever heard. Mainly because it's the 1st track on their self titled debut album from 1998. I love that 1st album... it's raw, lo-fi, hard groove stoner rock & I wish Queens had stayed the course a bit more than they have. This album was HUGE to us back then. I was just joining a band in Akron, finding myself musically & Josh Homme was a master at writing riffs that I dig. This song is a great example, although I will say that I have always had a slight distaste for that whining steel guitar noise at the very beginning of this song. I dig it when it comes back in later on, but not at the very beginning. However, I left it in my version because if you don't have it at the start, it really comes outta nowhere later & doesn't fit. Anyway, I hope ya dig my cover. I'm gonna do another early Queens again soon... (*I used youtuber Dan Van Nard's drum track in this recording. It was spot on and sounds great so thanks for the upload!)

While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Beatles Cover 2023) Re-mix 2025

An original punk song I wrote that utilizes other punk greats' song titles, band names & noticeable lyrics as the lyrics in my song! It's pretty cleverly written if I do say so myself. You will find references to the Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys, NOFX, Misfits, Black Flag, Nirvana, Social Distortion... even Ministry & Metallica among others. I dig the riffs, guitar work & the bass sound as well. For this version I lowered the overall volume, brought up the bass & little guitar solo & added the lyrical refrain at the end (I always regretted not doing this for the original mix that's been posted for over a year now). A Good Old Fashioned Punk Song (2024) Re-mix 2025

My 3rd Beatles cover that I am very proud of! "Yesterday" done ala punk/grunge at 100 mph. For this remix I did some EQ on the bass & brought it out more in the mix, I increased the volume of the lead guitars, and lastly... I added an isolated vocal track of Sir Paul McCartney to sing along with me on the final refrain at the end. He also does the little humming thing at the very end. We'll see if Soundcloud allows it... as always, I hope you enjoy my super-fast punk cover of "Yesterday" by the Beatles!

Yesterday (Beatles Cover 2024) Re-mix 2025

4th test mix of my new unfinished song... I just added some distortion guitars at both chorus parts & the ending. I also fiddled with the drums a bit. I used the H.P. Ibanez & the LTD H-200 for the guitar parts. Rhythm parts were ran through the Vox Cambridge & the "leads" were ran through the Line 6 amp. Both used the Keeley Parallax Spatial Generator pedal. Bass used was my LTD bass ran through the Positive Grid Spark amp.

Another Sad Lullaby (2025) 4th Mix

*2nd Mix. I did a cover of this song around 4 years ago or so. Back then I was ecstatic that I learned it & made a decent recording of it... or so I thought. It actually sounded pretty shitty. So, I decided to give it another go! The music turned out great. The vocals??? I guess that's for you to decide. I'm not a singer. I will say this new version sounds miles better than the old one in that regard. It's such a great song & it's a blast to play. Guitars used were my Jackson Monarkh & my ESP/LTD EC1000 ran through the Line 6. I used the Keeley Parallax guitar pedal sparingly. For bass I ran my LTD bass through the Spark amp. Drums are the original isolated drum tracks. I added a little hand clap during the bridge, but otherwise I kept the same composition as the OG song. Enjoy!!!

Everybody Wants to Rule the World (Tears for Fears Cover 2025) 2nd Mix

Hopefully my final mix of my new cover tune, or at least my attempt at covering the Deftones new song from their album "Private Music" called "I Think About You All The Time". I love this song... as soon as I 1st heard it I was hooked and it is my favorite from the new album by far. For equipment I used 2 guitars tuned down to Drop C. My Solar "tele" & my Ibanez Premium. Bass used was the LTD bass ran through the Spark amp. Almost all guitars are ran through the Line 6 amp except a couple trax were ran through the Vox. This is my 2nd upload with the vocals & after tinkering with everything & adding some echo fx to my voice at certain spots... I think I'm officially DONE with this track! You should go listen to the Deftones version. Chino's voice is just amazing.

I Think About You All The Time (Deftones Cover 2025)

An old Means to an End song that is pretty much one of my complete efforts I brought to the boys. In the beginning Donny wrote most of our songs, but a few years in I was also contributing to the original songs heavily as well. Matti brought some riffs to practice too & Mark ALWAYS laid down killer drum beats to everything we played! He was & still is a heavy hitting drummer & sometimes my shitty rig (a Fender M-80 half stack w/a Squier Strat fitted w/a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails pick-up) just could not keep up with all the other sounds in that practice studio we had! This particular song here... all 3 parts were written by me before I brought it to a band practice one day. It is a bitch for me to play these days as that opening riff requires me to stretch my hand quit significantly to hit those notes, but it sounds great! Donny had lyrics & sang but I can't recall for the life of me what we called this song??? He also had me (for the 1st time?) singing back-up vocals during the chorus part. As I remember it, I was just basically shouting "Gotta be! Gotta see!" a couple of times. I always had a difficult time playing guitar & "singing" at the same time on stage. Sometimes I just wouldn't do it much to Donny's annoyance lol. As for the technical aspects this song is played at 105 bpm's in 6/8 time signature with the end slowed down a tad to 98 bpms. Guitars used were my ESP/LTD EC1000 along w/my Squire Jazzmaster. It has some great P-90 pick-ups in it that sound super punchy when distorted. It really helped pronounce those chugs! Both were ran through my Line 6 amp with some tracks utilizing the Keeley Parallax Spatial Generator pedal. For Bass I used my ESP/LTD B-204 ran through the Spark. I may attempt to throw some lyrics down to the best of my ability, but I have no good recording of this song to decipher what Donny was singing & I will have to make up my own. I really just wanted to get the music down. I always really liked this song & was very proud that I wrote it & I figure Mark & Matti will get a kick outta hearing it again 25 years later!

MTAE One of Mine (2025)

My cover of the theme music (originally by John Murphy) for the movie "28 Days Later". All guitars, bass & piano by me. I "borrowed" the drums from a youtube percussionist, Franky Costanza. A while back a buddy of mine suggested this song to me & now that Halloween is almost here I figured it's the perfect time to get 'er done. There are a few great covers of this on youtube & of course the original is hauntingly beautiful. Enjoy!

In the House, In a Heartbeat (28 Days Later Theme Song Cover)

I have played guitar since the age of 14 (around 1990 give or take) & I still play to this day... only now instead of playing live or seeking to be in a band, I record my own music at home! I use Audacity software (free!) & basically use a mic to record my guitars, bass & vocals through my various guitar amps. Drums I "program" by downloading tracks from youtube & chopping them up to suit my needs. I write my own music as well as record covers. I'm not a singer & all of my vocals are achieved by doing multiple vocal tracks to create a harmony that is otherwise lacking. Sometimes the results are ok, sometimes it sucks. Either way, making music & taking care of my cats are the 2 main reasons I am on this Earth. I hope you enjoy some of my stuff!
