A space to fall into again and again. A start that feels like an ending and an end that feels like a beginning. A wistful recollection of our motions, an invitation to share ourselves as we have before. A dawn letter written in a shade between sky and stars, echoing gently and begging to be whispered aloud.

at dawn on Sunday, Alfonso treated us to 4 hours of music, mingling dub techno and minimal, all slowed down and jammed on vinyl.

"When I arrived at the stage, the sun hadn't risen yet. Mine was the first performance on @klapenunsen stage, and the music from the other stage was still playing in the background. It was a cold morning, and I thought there wouldn't be many people at the beginning, but It was a pleasant surprise when, after the main stage last performance ended, a large crowd gathered and filled the stage even before my music started. 

I performed a minimal dubby techno set, playing both current tracks and classics of the genre. Although I didn’t feel entirely comfortable in the beginning of the set, when I saw people dancing with smiles on their faces, it all made sense. It was a very special moment, and later, when the set ended, it was incredible to have people coming up to talk to me, excited about the performance. It was beautiful preparing a set like this and seeing how the crowd responded to the vibe while the sun rose in that wonderful landscape."

I had the joy of playing a sunny afternoon set 15:00-17:30 before Konduku, so I kept things bright & groovy 🌻🧚🌞

This set features some IDM, electro and minimal tracks I haven’t played out in years, alongside recent releases I’ve been enjoying.

The whole festival was beautifully programmed and curated, and I heard many inspiring sets throughout the weekend in the iconic grounds of the Castell De Montjuïc.

The recording of my set from La Nature Festival, recorded 12-3PM on a glorious sunny Sunday on the 23rd of June 2024.

This was one of my favourite sets this summer, I was so honoured to be playing before the legendary DJ Nobu, and spent time preparing for this set gathering bright~dubby~daytime techno with a zippy flair and uplifting energy 🧚

The set features lots of tracks I’ve been enjoying this summer, including music by: Tsott, GiGi FM, Azu Tiwaline, Vladw, Al Wootton, Sindh, Luigi Tozzi, Konduku, Stojche, Ness, Ruman, Rene Wise, Fireground, Forest On Stasys, Kohra & Midnight Traffic +++

The woodland location of this Belgian festival was stunning, and playing on this delicious Lambda Labs sound system was such a treat. Thanks again to Julien @noname_community & Daniel[i] @danieli_whs for the invitation to join this year’s edition 🧡🌲

Boni G introduces Vinna Våldyr (@vinnavaldyr), a new alias that explores a more introspective and deep side of his sound. This project reflects his current creative moment, bringing together the richness of his experience with fresh perspectives, all while staying true to his roots and musical vision. Over the course of his 30-year career, Boni G has left a mark on the electronic music scene. In 2000, he co-founded Low Records Store, dedicating a decade to its growth and development. He was the driving force behind projects like Huna and Bisau, hosted the Indigo show on Lie Radio, and spent nearly 10 years teaching at Proaudio Escuela until 2020. With Vinna Valdyr, Boni G connects the dots between his extensive career and the new horizons he’s charting, offering a sound that’s both reflective and forward-thinking - a perfect blend of his journey and where he’s headed next.

We are honoured to share a deeply personal and beautiful ambient mix by Blind Observatory for Unrush. True to his signature style, this mix unfolds like an acoustic panorama - layered with cinematic textures, immersive sounds, and delicate facets of emotion. Each track flows effortlessly, as if hiking through a natural biotope of sound, moving between different atmospheres with a calm ease. This mix is dedicated to his beloved dog, Plüshka, who recently passed away:

"I compiled and recorded this set during the last weeks I had with my wonderful dog Plüshka. My true soulmate. It is a story of two tethered souls slowly untangling. About a connection getting grainy, then fuzzy and blurry before fading. A journal of our parting. It's a little tribute to my big love."

This heartfelt journey is an ode to love, loss, and the unbreakable bond between kindred spirits. We hope you enjoy the set and have a relaxed start to the week...

092 - Unrushed by Blind Observatory

Our twice-a-year trips to upstate New York are something we truly cherish. There’s a special magic in that barn, I swear. This time, we had friends representing 11 nationalities, each bringing their unique backgrounds and stories. Yet there we were, gathered in the heart of the Catskill Mountains, sharing laughter, tears, good food, and incredible music.
Every trip has its own character, and this one was no different. I’m thrilled to share the recording of my Saturday night set, which followed Kim Kenis’s phenomenal 4-hour journey. It felt like a natural progression to start with some deep, dubby tracks and gradually build the tension. I’m really happy with how the mix turned out, and I hope it resonates with you, too. Finishing the set brought such a feeling of joy. One I know I’ll hold onto for a long time.
Here’s to more music, memories, and the connections that make it all worthwhile.

“This mix is inspired by a touch more Afro than I usually include in my sets, but it still has a distinct “Meyer” feel, as many of the tracks feature the typical clave pattern that’s present in most of my work. I’ve been incorporating Afro elements into my sets for over 10 years, though it’s never the only style I play. I enjoy blending different genres because it’s more creatively challenging.

A friend once told me, “You play so many different genres in one set, but it always sounds like you.” I think that’s a great compliment. For this set, I leaned more on the classic Meyer sound to maintain the flow. Hope you enjoy it!”

In this three hours, Kim takes us on a delicate journey—one that gradually unfolds through space. It invites you, then teases you, pulling you deeper before you even realize you’ve surrendered to it. Known for her near-prolific output of thoughtful, studied radio mixes and a club & festival schedule that speaks for itself, Kim brings a bewitching tenderness to her DJ-ing—whether she’s sending stargazers into the ether with ambient selections or locking in the dance floor with minimalistic grooves.
