Taija New, also known as the Newbian King, is a distinguished Rhythmic Pop entertainer whose remarkable journey began humbly at open mic events in her hometown of Springfield, Massachusetts. In 2015, Taija made her mark in the music industry with the release of her debut EP, "Color Me Complex," which featured the acclaimed single 'Newbian King.' Following her debut, Taija continued to evolve as an artist, unveiling two additional projects, including her highly-anticipated sophomore album, “Heart on the Stage,” released in 2017. This album was accompanied by a two-year album-titled tour, showcasing her dedication to her craft and her commitment to delivering unforgettable live experiences.

Throughout her career, Taija has exhibited an unwavering dedication to her growth as an entertainer. In 2023, her efforts culminated in a significant milestone as she garnered official Grammy Award consideration from The Recording Academy for the 66th Annual Grammy Awards for her track ‘Over Your Allure‘ in the category of Best Melodic Rap Performance. In 2025, Taija contributed to the development of and served as the lead vocalist for the song "Fallen," which is the feature song for the award-winning film, Plight.
