Way back when, I submitted a mix to Wav.Cation, an Austin based DJ experience, where music is played from one given genre as a way to showcase and elevate the roots of that respective genre. For this mix, I chose Amapiano, who’s roots are grounded in South Africa. Amapiano is known for its delicate vibes and jazzy spin to house music, where one of the key musical instruments includes the piano from which its name is given.
