Denney was one of the first people we met in the music industry. Long before we’d had any releases we’d see him most weeks on the dance floor of Back to Basics in Leeds, and at the after parties which followed. We’ve been friends ever since, and it’s been ace to see him doing so well over the last few years, so when he told us he was mixing the Viva Warriors summer compilation and asked if we’d like to contribute a track it was an easy call!

A big new release is coming out in Stereo Productions by the hand of the acclaimed Danish DJ and producer Christian Nielsen called On My Mind EP, that contains six tremendous cuts. 

Starting with the original ‘On My Mind’ groovy & frantic Tech House vocal where Chus & Ceballos leaves their own imprint with their remix. 

‘I don’t beg’ is the second original track and an incredibly deep and sensitive vocal masterpiece with the remix duties by the german Mathias Kaden who delivers two different remixes, 

a deep & low cut version and a groovy & high one. We close the release with the beautiful ‘What's Your Name’ original included in the Miami 2016 Sampler.

The Martinez Brothers have enlisted a strong cast of producers to remix their original material on 'The Martinez Brothers Remixed Part 3', which includes Patrick Grooves and m.O.N.R.O.E. who flip 'Stuff In The Trunk' into a thumping techno roller.

With the dancefloor in mind, Patrick Grooves and m.O.N.R.O.E.'s take on 'Stuff In The Trunk' chops up Miss Kittin's infectious vocals and highlights a relentless bass line while stripping back the house beat to reveal a hypnotic techno motif.

'The Martinez Brothers Remixed Part 3', which also includes remixes by Butch, Parris Mitchell and AJ Christou, is set for release August 31 via Cuttin' Headz.

Digging into some deeper cuts, we're happy to welcome hometown hero; Ofier to the label alongside crowd favorite Susio for their highly anticipated groove infected single "Inner Voice".

When we first heard this track, we were instantly hooked and knew it needed to find it's home with us. Packed with so much character and addicting percussive groove, it was a no brainer to support this record throughout the upcoming season. Even better that our man Ofier hopped on live guitar on this one adding that necessary charisma to give it this tune that extra flair.

On remix duties, we have the return of our #1 boys Biddy and Chafe who stepped up and delivered a perfect rework of "Inner Voice" turning up the drums and bassline to give it that extra UK flavor that we love. Safe to say the boys crushed this one big time, taking the best of the original and transforming it into an absolute club stomper.

This package will surely be a stand out gem in our catalog this Spring/Summer season. Enjoy <3

Ronnie Spiteri - Barracuda

Glasgow Underground was set up in 1997 by Kevin McKay. He began the label releasing his own music and collaborations with friends and other Glasgow-based artists (Omid 16b, Studio Blue, DJ Q, Harri). Through his DJing and work for various music magazines (Muzik, Jockey Slut, Mixmag Update) he met some of his favourite producers of the time (Romanthony, Mateo & Matos, Idjut Boys...) and convinced some of them to join him releasing on GU. In the early 2000s, Kevin met Mylo and set up the Breastfed record label. The global success of "Destroy Rock & Roll" meant Glasgow Underground was put on hold. After leaving the Breastfed label in 2011, Kevin re-started Glasgow Underground and since then the label has gone on to re-invigorate Romanthony's catalogue with remixes from the likes of Dixon, MCDE, Gerd, Andres, Oliver Dollar, Ejeca, Audiojack, Claptone, Christian Nielsen, Supernova, Jimmy Edgar and Waifs & Strays. The label has also introduced producers like Daniel Trim, Brett Gould, Mia Dora and Illyus & Barrientos as well has releasing established & rising stars such as Metodi Hristov, Stefano Ritteri and Sabb.
