For the 11th installment in our Just For The Night series, selectors take you on their own journey through groove. Anything goes.

Etched into the history of Italian House is one Carlo Troja, aka Don Carlos. In 1991 @IrmaRecords released his first single Alone, which almost immediately gained cult status. The soft, ambient, dream-like production defined a genre that came to be known as Paradise House. 

One of his more recent excursions that piqued our interest was a four-track EP on @razor-n-tape under artist name Montego Bay, all melodic house jams & sampled disco cuts. Don Carlos and S-Tone (Stefano Tirone @stoneinc) released two records on Bologna label Calypso in the early 90s and incredibly, the 4 tracks on this EP were produced 30 years ago, then shelved and forgotten about.

A true music obsessive, he has graciously delivered an hour of lush Mediterranean & Adriatic-soaked groovers from his extensive record collection. Benvenuti in paradiso. 🌴
