Fun projects need to be shared. In this case I like to give away my newest fun project - I did in my free time. Hashtag is a combination of five elements in one track. With the focus on a snare drum roll, a upward pitching part, a melody, a fat baseline and acid elements. Acid in that case means, crazy sounds in a groovy beat. Hope you like it - have fun.

A steadfast figure of Buenos Aires' club scene, DJ Paul (AR) pays homage to the great Jim Morrison with “Visionary.” In his final interview to Rolling Stone circa ’69, The Doors’ frontman prophesied the arrival of electronic dance music. With focus squarely on “The Lizard King’s” remarkable sample, Chilano applies powerfully driving progressive house textures — the likes of which nobody could ever envision!

For our 34th release on Juicebox Music, we have a 2-track collaborative EP between two fantastic Argentinian producers - Berni Turletti & Matias Chilano, both consistently pushing the progressive space with pure passion. Relatively newer to the scene, Berni Turletti's appearance on Nick Warren's "The Soundgarden" & "Hope Recordings" (through his EP with Dimuth K) as well as Antrim's "Or Two Strangers" cemented his place as a force to be reckoned with. Returning back to Juicebox Music, after his remix of "Monojoke - Backwards", the more veteran Matias Chilano's decade long discography needs no real introduction with standout associations on Tash's "Movement Recordings", "Proton Music" & "Particles". Recently, not one, but two of Matias' remixes went on to feature in Patrice Baumel's GU42 Berlin on mighty Global Underground, a monumental milestone for any.

Berni Turletti & Matias Chilano put their strengths to the table to deliver a balanced combination of their signature sounds in the form of "Alumine" & "Forgettable", filled with solid low-end grooves, soaring leads & spacey atmospherics. Joining the pack as the only remixer is another returning artist from our roster - Anton MAKe, whose remix of Michael A's "Endless Time" was one of the best ways we could close 2018. Anton's equally impressive catalog features an impressive list of associations including Cid Inc & Orsen's "Replug", Mango's "Mango Alley" & Milos' "Balkan Connection" to name a few. Anton's version on "Alumine" heads towards a more deeper & hypnotic space but loaded with tension for the main melody to shine through, rounding off the release in a classy manner.

Italian artist Hollen makes his Intec debut following a highly successful career thats seen him feature on some of the worlds most influential techno labels such as Terminal M, Tronic, Filth On Acid, Unrilis, KD Music and many more.

Not only a techno producer, Hollen is a talented artist who has also produced many house tracks for leading labels ranging from Nic Fanciullis Saved Records to John Digweeds Bedrock, but despite being an eclectic artist techno is his main passion.

Hollen also expresses his love of techno through releases on his own label Prospect Records, and has a busy gig schedule that sees him play headline sets all over Italy and other parts of the world outside of Europe.

Also collaborating with Hollen for the third track on this EP is The Southern, who himself is a successful artist with many releases on labels ranging from Odd Recordings to AnalyticTrail.

Cosmic Girl opens the release with its flickering melody and seductive vocals layered over a firm percussive foundation. The hypnotic groove and tightly sequenced rhythms give the track a mechanical feel that runs like a well-oiled machine.

Next up Cant You See Them has pitched tom drums and a rolling bassline with vocal stabs and distant chants layered under a thrashing ride cymbal, which combined create an incredibly powerful forward momentum. The euphoric breakdown provides a hands in the air moment before the percussion comes crashing in for some more booty shaking action.

Closing the EP is the collaboration with The Southern titled Hypnotic Whip that's a little darker and more stripped back than the other two tracks. With hints of euphoria and intense clap rhythms, its grainy stabs rip through to add some extra ferocity.

Multi-platinum record selling musician and record producer, Glenn Morrison is the archetype of the modern DJ/producer star. The 37-year-old Toronto native is as happy rocking an underground house party as he is performing at an exclusive oceanic rooftop venue; as adept at composing an international club anthem like ‘Contact’ as he is at concocting a pop dance record that strikes to the Billboard Charts in America.  His single ‘Goodbye’ has been Certified Double Platinum and went Number 1 for 11 weeks in a row on the Canadian Billboard Chart, as well as going Number 1 in Russia’s Billboard Chart.  It wound up taking over Eastern Europe and became Number 1 in 7 Countries to date.

In short, Glenn Morrison is one of the most dynamic and accomplished talents in electronic music today. Period.

Morrison is a difficult DJ to pigeonhole and that’s what makes him such a fascinating talent. One minute his sound is ruthlessly minimal and funky; the next it’s washed in color and vocals and emotion.

Glenn has had an unusual career path. He started off as a classical pianist, a preteen prodigy, performing  – and winning – competitions. Then came a life-changing encounter with electronic music.

Production continues apace in the new mastering studio Morrison has built in Toronto, entitled Alpine Mastering (www.alpinemastering.com). Be it sound design for video game companies like Nintendo, EA Sports, Activision or Rockstar, or his own productions, he simply doesn’t stop making and playing music.  His latest partnership with IMAX has been a thrilling experience, pushing the boundaries of electronic music to that of sound-scoring live theatre visuals.  Glenn & IMAX unveiled this concept with a 3 part show series at the 2012 ComicCon event held at the Ruben H Fleet Science Centre in San Diego, and it was a huge success. “It’s been a liberating transition for me to make music for all different stylistic purposes, and I’m very grateful for having the ability to do what I love for a living” says Glenn.

Watch this brilliant artist over the course of 2021 as he will be reshaping and redefining how we perceive electronic music through an ample amount of live shows, performances, and recordings.
