Skanda Sashti Kavacham or Kanda Sashti Kavasam (Tamil: கந்த சஷ்டி கவசம்) is a Hindu devotional song composed in Tamil by Bala Devaraya Swamigal (a student of Meenakshi Sundaram Pillai) on Lord Muruga, the son of Lord Shiva, in Chennimalai near Erode. Tamil contains many ancient hymns in praise of deities. Skanda Sashti Kavasam was composed in the 16th century. In the song has been composed in praise of the Lord, seeking to shower His grace.

This is one of the promotional tracks for my EP "Shanmata" which was released by Beat on Records.

‘Nothing is Real’ and ‘Squirm’ open the EP with stories of teenage angst and the double-edged sword of sexuality, whereas ‘Story Time’ takes us into spooky head closets and the merciless demons that inhabit them. ‘Bullies’, easily the heaviest track of this release, is coming to terms with one of the toughest phases of our early lives and the ways to deal with it. Finally, ‘Ice Cream’ celebrates the sweet, substance-driven escape from it all 😉

We are fortunate to present this unique and truly personal release and join Riley on his recollection of memories and emotions which shaped him into the talented and creative human being that he is today.
