White Material crew’s Galcher Lustwerk and Alvin Aronson return under the guise of Studio OST with a 4-track EP of live jams on Lustwerk Music. While the pair’s critically acclaimed 2016 debut ‘Scenes (2012-2015)’ leaned towards home listening, ’EVENTIDE / ASCENSION’ shifts the focus back to the dancefloor with two chugging cinematic house tracks. ‘Eventide’ is an evolving nebula of fluttering pads and lush percussion, while ‘Ascension’’s hot-electric drums are complimented by sharp synth chords that unfurl into controlled chaos. A beatless version of ‘Eventide’ and a drums only version of ‘Ascension’ sweeten the deal.

The EP combines the original mix composed by the Polish Juke artist COMOC and four remixes by producers from the United States and Japan. 

The original track is a showcase of COMOC's fierce footwork vision and all of the reinterpretations follow the scheme, as all of the remixing artists were chosen by COMOC himself as his artistic homeage and appreciation for their work. 

The experienced Neuropunk (@neuropunkdj) and DMY (@yoshtoyoshto) represent the one and only @JukeBounceWerk crew from Los Angeles, California. KΣITO (@keitosuzuki), the live performance beast from Japan, is an artist from the @Shinkaron label, while Lotus Echo (@lotusecho), another Japanese act in the mix. All of the artists involved have their very original styles that blend both the experimental and the raw, energetic sides of footwork music.

Bath-based producer Odeko returns to Mr. Mitch’s blossoming Gobstopper imprint with a new two-track single, following a 2016 that saw the label release EPs from mainstay Loom and Irish duo CLU, as well as Odeko’s debut record, ‘A History With Samus’. 

Deeply idiosyncratic, Odeko’s sound references a variety of themes without ever feeling bound by any and on ‘Digital Botanics’, he takes this bright, one-of-a-kind sound design to new heights. Subtle trap patterns provide the foil for gloopy, toy-like melodies to glide over the top, spiked by short bursts of growling, industrial noise. 
On ‘Construct Conduct’, Odeko offers his take on euphoric, 80s-inspired synth music — only prepped for the future — with pulsating, heady grooves and spiralling, acid-y melodies nodding to a growing reputation that he is quietly becoming one of the UK’s most exciting young sound designers.

Little Mary strays from the pack, floating from one rock to another, in the midst of the narrow cascading river stream. Feeling the respirating leaves ebb and flow, she caught a glimpse of a pagan rain dance, a drum circle within a pocket of sunshine – where all mantras come to life.

This captivating split EP (titled ‘Acosta’), sees Kilchhofer’s second 12”, after his ‘Dersu’ EP on ‘Marionette’. The flip side features Hainbach who gets his work pressed on vinyl for the very first time – after a few tape releases, his latest being on Ted Butler & Cortini’s ‘Limited Interest’ label. This is truly something wonderful from two very gifted and unique artists.

Little Mary is a series by Marionette (a spin-off Marionette artists) – focused on split EPs and collaborative works.
