D.J DRAY, named EKUNDAYO OLUWADAMILARE was born on AUG.7, 1983 in LAGOS NIGERIA. He grew up in LAGOS and at age 13, he decided to build up an independent spirit of doing things on his own. Basically out of nothing there is something great for those that believe nothing good can ever come of a ghetto, boy like him.

He is one of the youngest DJs in AFRICA and beyond. At age 17, had local and out of town clubs go wild as he spins the hottest Top 40, Reggae/Dance hall, Rap, Afro/Hip-Hop and RnB. Aiming to please; the crowd’s preference is what he plays.

Involving himself in social scenes and networking as much as possible, collaborated with big time celebrities such as DJ S&S (rapper Edriss Abdulekarem “Samlye M” Combs’ DJ), DJ Jazzy Jeff, Grand Master Flash and Kenny’s music record artist, Edris Ebdukareem just to name a few. How could you forget after hearing his catch phrase, “DJ DRAY, don’t forget the name!”?

With a passion for music, he stacked and saved up and purchased his first pair of turntables from a garage sale. Proud of what he just purchased, he eagerly brought them back to his house, hooked the turntables up to the equipment he already had, and began to test them out in his basement.

“Ever since the day I came back from the garage sale and hooked up the tables, I’ve been practicing and scratching my ass off,” Said DRAY.

“This is just the beginning of the beginning. I’ve been working for Ten years to get where I’m at today, now it’s time to blow.” Said DRAY.

As time went by his DJ skills grew. He went from playing at birthday parties to clubs and events, to working with artist such as DJ Shenan, (rap star mode9smok’s DJ), DJ Starting from Scratch, (a well-known DJ from WEST AFRICA), reggae artist, Capleton, and started developing his first mix tape titled “The Beginning Vol.1.”

At age18, DRAY became an out of town performer at Club Julies in ACCRA GHANA and rocked the house every time by using sound effects, all styles of mixing techniques and his unique style and originality.

Never missing an opportunity, he played at Windsor’s Club 20, where he was the host DJ for the Laugh out Loud event featuring BET Comic View & Russell Simmons’s Def Comedy Jam All-Star lineup. The event was hosted by Foolish D a popular comedian from radio station FM 98 WJLB-Detroit, with stared comedian Mike Bonner from BET’s Comic View.

In 2011, he moved to SOUTH AFRICA to finish up senior year in COLLEGE and further his passion, goals and career path in a city whose gates were open with opportunity.

Before leaving LAGOS he threw a Going Away Party at The Caboto club. Everyone was invited to have fun and rock out another night with yours truly. With 300+ fans in attendance, great staff and volunteers, it was a good turnout and overall a successful night.

Within the first week of being in ACCRA he was networked with well-known DJs at one of ACCRA’s top radio stations, hits.FM 93.5; getting one step closer each day to become a well-known face and brand.

Like his goals, his accomplishments are big and are constantly growing. As he plans to make his work international, in person and online, he focused on expanding the growth of My Concert Company, (hits’FM), now the official promoter for Ghana Music African wide.

Vespers is a beat-making robot sent back in time from the year 2502. He was banished from the future for repeat offenses of making excessively bass-heavy noises, leading to irreparable structural damage to the downtown core of Neo Tokyo. It is reported that his long-time sidekick and party companion “Go-Go”, a biogenetically enhanced feneks fox, also travelled back in time to join him in his exile.

Vespers is known for his extensive and unpredictable glitches, which cause him to randomly spout tibbits of music production wizardry and secret techniques to virtually anyone who will listen. Kind of like the robot equivalent of Turrets Syndrome. You can see hours of videos of him waxing poetic about all kinds of audio geekery on his Youtube channel. Legend has it that getting sent back in time was all part of his “master plan” to create a legion of bass worshipers who will take over the future.

Although he isn’t human, he does have an puzzling affinity for jazz music and a fascinating preoccupation with saxophones. You can frequently catch him wreaking bassy-havoc and inciting funk-infused dancefloor mayhem at all kinds of music festivals and West Coast gatherings.
