Goeran Meyer is a German DJ, producer and the creative force behind the independent MYR, which now serves up an impressive 36th release. His sleek and stylish blend of house and techno always comes with well-crafted and poignant synth melodies and lush drum work that works on both head and heel.

Says Meyer of his latest tune, "'Restless World' captures the unease and tension many of us feel in today’s world, while also reminding us of the grounding, connective power music can have — especially within our community. The brilliantly seductive track delivers a smooth but driving organic house track with an irresistible groove. The supple drums are layered with subtle textures and a thoughtful breakdown that keeps things danceable while allowing room for emotion and introspection. Evosonic Radio was the world's first independent radio station for electronic music, which could be received via cable and satellite from 1997 to 1999. 
Evosonic Radio did not submit to the conventions of format radio, but gave its music editors and DJs a lot of freedom. 
This concept, unique in Germany, won the "German Dance Award" in the "Best Medium" category in January 2000. Chris-Maico Schmidt aka Mike S., who was responsible for the music played most of the time as program director, accepted this award. 15 years later he founded Evosonic Records. Today, as then, Chris-Maico Schmidt makes sure that the label does not submit to any conventions and that his artists have the freedom that is indispensable for the one same goal: high musical quality - then as now.
