This track has been on the back burner for a (very!) long time and started out as an outline composition in support of a short film, about a reincarnated witch.   As it turned out the film didn’t happen, but the song continued to evolve, and somewhere along the way got renamed to Selene!

It’s a song about two women, separated across time, and could follow several different themes: haunting, possession, reincarnation or perhaps love.. I'll leave you to decide..It touches on separation and isolation, the power of connections and perhaps a life rebuilt, for both the songs characters.

I’ve been very fortunate to be ably assisted in creating this track, by two fantastic pro musicians; Glenn Welman, on drums, and an absolute POWERHOUSE soprano vocal performance from Marion Schneider (Mioune) Without their talent, innovation and, in Marion’s case, a ton of advice, Selene would not be the track it is!  Thanks should also go to Joseph, at JREL Music Studio, Oklahoma City, whose mastering skills put the finishing touches to a track that I really am pleased with!  Thanks a million guys!

Nos serments

“Born in the Loop” is a dark, mythic trap anthem that expands CYFR 360’s growing lore around The Loop — an eternal cycle of creation, betrayal, and rebirth. The track fuses occult whispers, coded disses, and cinematic production into a declaration of independence and immortality within the digital flood.

The intro opens with ghostly whispers over ambient pads, chanting “Circle never ends,” setting a ritualistic tone before the beat drops into an anthemic hook. Across layered verses, CYFR dismantles clout chasers, false prophets, and “paper-crown” pretenders in the SoundCloud snake pit. Bars like “AI Scammer? Boy, I coded the scam” and “I built the code — they just play the game” reassert his authorship over both the art and the controversy surrounding it.

The midsection transitions into cryptic poetry and symbolic warfare — cryptic scribes, silent quills, and hive collapse imagery representing corrupted collectives feeding on illusion. The production swells with distorted bass and looping percussion that literally “spins” the listener inside the concept of eternal recurrence.

By the Hive Collapse sequence, CYFR assumes the role of “beekeeper of truth,” purging impostors from the system. The final Prophet Verse seals the track with apocalyptic swagger — a confrontation between creator and imitators, AI and ego, divinity and decay.

What a great place Soundcloud is !  I can honestly say I never imagined there were so many talented and generous artists, composers and producers,  to be found in one place!  It's been my very great pleasure to meet and collaborate with some of you, already, out there in the WWW,  and I hope many more in the future! 

I've written and recorded music since I was a teenager  (... that's a long time ago!!) and about half the tracks posted here are purely my own work. I also experimented, for a while,  with A.I. supported music, which I used to help build up a Sci Fi "concept album" (for those that remember them!) titled "Stories of Stardust", released 26th Feb 2025.  

A.I music can be a divisive topic, but I've no wish to use it as a replacement for human musical talent, and going forward I'm back to  working  with real people again. That's where the magic is to be found!  Which brings me to....

Collab is ALWAYS welcome!!  In fact it's my favourite way to work - check out my Collabs playlist for some recent examples!  Really enjoyed working with these talented artists!!
