'Montreal-based producer Tyler W makes his debut as an artist with a fantastic first release on Hicky & Kalo's label Plaisirs Sonores Records. His track 'Scorpion Rising' is a melancholic piece filled with beautiful melodies. 

On remix duties, Erdi Irmak changes the tone of the track to create a gentle and pleasing organic house ballad. The handsome flute and enchanting bird sounds form an appeasing symbiosis.

Last but not least, Paul Kardos twists the original track into a progressive house weapon that will hypnotize the dancer with driving drums and emotive synth.

Presenting their second release of the year, Cid Inc's Replug Records welcomes Emi Galvan to the label for his debut EP. Argentinean DJ and producer Emi Galvin has consistently defied expectations throughout his much-lauded decade-long career. Through the success of early tracks like 2016's 'Taking Over' and 'Universe', the Buenos Aires resident emerged into one of the progressive scene's most promising talents. A rich musical background with time spent in rock bands playing guitar and singing gave Emi's electronic compositions a measurable creative edge. This elusive sound did not go unnoticed as he quickly earned the praise of genre tastemakers Cid Inc, Eelke Kleijn, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren; while landing career defining releases via Balance, Sudbeat and The Soundgarden. Also, an accomplished DJ, Emi's long undulating sets have been applauded for their impeccable track selection and exquisite programming. As one of Argentina's most in demand DJs, Emi has travelled the world, delighting crowds in Egypt, Greece, Hungary, Malta, Netherlands, Peru, Romania, Russia, Spain and Uruguay. Forever choosy in his projects, Emi now begins his 2023 production schedule by adding Replug to his resume with a two-track showcase entitled 'Samsara'. 

As the progressive rhythms and exotic drums of opener 'Samsara' unfold, it's clear that Emi's craft must be taken to heart. Capsizing basslines cleverly co-ax with punchy beats and thought-provoking vocals as an epic collage of sonic energies takes shape. The Argentine allows the nine-minute journey to build patiently, exploring all paths for its oriental synth melodies, carrying the listener away on a cosmic pilgrimage to reconnect with feelings of hope, freedom and possibility. The worldly arc of both the melodic and vocal elements parallels the increasing depth of Galvin's sonic palette, whereby his classic combination of room rocking grooves and genuine musicality becomes its most dynamic, and most powerful.

Beneath the potent tidal waves of 'Samsara' lies the hyperventilating helium rush of 'Around the World'. Evoking a confident club vibe from the start, Emi's recalibrated sonics, emotionally resonant hooks and fragmented vocals blanket a deep muscular framework. With an infectious energy that could win over even the most discerning of heads, it's a journey that becomes unabashedly epic at its peak. Galvin pulls from his progressive repertoire, infusing hip-swinging chord stabs, panoramic synths and broken-beat rhythms across a break that is equal parts tense and emotive, before tactfully building towards a finale of colourful atmospherics and jet-engine exhaust.

The 'Samsara' showcase finds Emi releasing his first solo originals in over three years, never once losing momentum as they mercurially move from elusive melodies and captivating breaks to dramatic dancefloor thunder - a suggestion that this might be a standout in Galvin's meticulous catalog.

Juicebox Music's 77th release sees Maze 28 making his return to the label with his latest single - "Cry of the Deserts". The Albanian rising star first made his debut on Juicebox Music through "Abyss Rhythm", his contribution to the 2nd edition of our 'Fables' compilation. Better known to his friends and family as Mario Zefi, Maze 28 has been on a hot-streak with chart-topping releases on Mango's 'Mango Alley' & Paul Thomas' 'UV', as well as winning Breeder's "Tyrantanic" remix competition, alongside Freedo Mosho, on the seminal Hooj Choons. We're excited to present his latest offering "Cry of the Deserts", an Arabian-inspired track with his signature chunky bassline, driving groove & ethnic hooks.

We called upon one of our core artists for the first remix. Enter Aman Anand, the Indian artist based in Singapore, who's made 5 appearances on our imprint since 2016, including a collaboration with label-boss Praveen Achary with "Fiasco". Aman Anand's influences range across the board from Electronica to Progressive House to Deep Techno, culminating in a unique sound that truly reflects his vision, earning him releases on Hernan Cattaneo's 'Sudbeat', Frankie Vertigo's 'My Secret Agenda', Bondarev's 'WARPP' & many more. His remix of Maze 28's "Cry of the Deserts" flips the mood on it's head and heads towards the darker & hypnotic side.

The final remix comes from a collaboration between two label debutants - Molac & Nicolas Viana. The Ecuador-based artist Alan Gonzalez (aka Molac) & Argentinian-based artist Nicolas Viana, both a part of the Sendas Music Collective recently started working together. Individually, they've both seen incredible success whether it's Molac's music on Lee Burridge's 'All Day I Dream' or Nicolas Viana's music on Gorje Hewek's 'Peace Symphonies' or both on MODD's 'Amulanga' & MOS's 'Melody of the Soul'. Their organic-infused and progressive-inspired styles perfectly merged into one, as showcased via their remix of Maze 28's "Cry of the Deserts".

‘Synchronicity’ is a bold and dynamic compilation of exclusive and previously unreleased tracks from friends of Tripswitch’s flourishing onedotsixtwo label. Featuring exciting new and upcoming talent alongside some well established names, the album has been compiled and mixed by Gustin – a vital member of the onedotsixtwo A&R and management team, and a highly-respected veteran DJ and selector with over 25 years experience playing across the globe.

Following on from Tripswitch’s 2017 label launching mix compilation ‘In At The Deep End’ (ODST0001), the time is now perfect for a second V/A release. With so much amazing talent to work with, Gustin has utilised his immense experience to source an exceptional collection of tracks from around the world, including uniquely creative production talent from Argentina, India, Belarus, Estonia, USA and UK.

Having spent the past year curating exclusive tracks for ‘Synchronicity’, Gustin finally settled down in the studio to create his stunning DJ mix, a creative process exhibiting perfect selection and timing to build a musical experience that embodies depth, colour and texture, wrapped with contemplation, hypnotic beauty, energy and euphoria.  

From Brandon Lee’s opening ‘Free Minds’, a beautifully subdued groover of a track with an enticing snake-charming flute melody, Bangalore-based Weird Sounding Dude’s ‘Hugel’ eases gently into the mix with it’s soaring vocal interludes and euphoric keys. The Argentine duo, Oliver & Tom, have been in high demand recently with releases on some key labels, and its not hard to understand why as ‘True Level’ picks up the pace perfectly with its sparkling production, sublime melodies and infectious groove. 

Fellow Argentine producer, Gabriel Amato, further stokes the fire and moves the mix direction towards peak time progressive territory with ‘Starship’, its rolling bassline, hypnotic soaring lead and expertly crafted FX building to an epic breakdown par excellence. Continuing to build the energy levels, the high-flying percussive beauty of ‘Gaspra’, courtesy of the collaborative pairing of New York’s Dysco with Argentina’s Juan Ibanez, meets Michael A’s tantalizing ‘See Yourself’, and the Belarusian electronic artist’s masterful, distinctive melodic atmospherics are always a joy to behold.

The spiky, scene setting, contemplative flow of ‘Cloud Atlas’ from Estonian born and Texan based producer Kaspar Tasane is perfectly placed to introduce Rodrigo Deem’s pumped-up ‘Panorama’, before another super-talented Argentine producer, the inimitable Partenaire, makes a welcome return to onedotsixtwo with his latest exquisite masterpiece, ‘The Warmth’. 

We stay in that creative hotbed country as Berni Turletti & Agustin Lupidi combine to create ‘Suyai’, a soaring symphony of synth magnificence that builds towards the album’s peak. The ascent is dramatically furthered courtesy of VINU, a multi-cultural, classically trained violinist and multi-instrumentalist residing in West Palm Beach, Florida, whose penultimate, breath-taking ‘Melodic Sunrise’ masterpiece cruises into the album’s spine-tingling finale, ‘Alive’, a heart-wrenchingly beautiful creation courtesy of Martin Gardoqui, Matias Larrosa and Mario Puccio.
