LA producer Blake Robin aka LUXXURY’s new full length album finds the bassline-obsessed disco addict experimenting with funk, synthpop and even (gasp!) pure instrumentals. “Increasingly in my most recent singles I’ve been treating vocals like instruments” says Robin, “backgrounding and balancing them as sonic elements instead of centerpieces,so the listener gets lost in the groove.” And indeed the star of these 11 songs is undoubtedly the 11 stellar basslines that ground the swirling synths and melodies as vocal fragments coolly dip in and out of the mix along. Highlights include: KCRW fave “What Are We Gonna Do?”; the slap bass workout “Somebody Tonight”; the contemplative “…At Any Moment” (playlisted by Purple Disco Machine) and its sister track, the title track “Alright”; while playful disco-house burner “Let’s Stay Together” blends house and jazz-funk rhythms with his trademark dusty basslines. After the success of their first two collaborations it was inevitable that German nu-disco star Tim Bernhardt, AKA Satin Jackets, would reunite with up & coming UK vocalist Tailor and that burgeoning partnership has once again produced dividends in the shape of their stunning new single 'First Thing'.

A bittersweet disco pop gem, 'First Thing' once again shows why Tailor is so in demand right now, as both a singer and songwriter. Delivering another heartbreaking appraisal of our own frailties and faults, Tailor delivers his lines with a searing honesty and raw intensity that captivates the listener.

Meanwhile Bernhardt cements his position as one of the best disco producers around, not just able to lay down the kind of crisp beats and bass lines that will have you moving on the dancefloor, but also craft the kind of luxurious, sympathetic melodies and instrumentation that makes his music.

If there is one thing that Satin Jackets can do, it’s making you feel good on the dance
floor. While the soulful, uplifting track “In This Life”already compels you to get get 
moving, Satin Jackets has managed to level up with this Cassara remix. Multi-
talented producer Chris Cassara had already proven what he is capable of with his 
previous remix of Satin Jackets’ “Never Enough.”
It’s well-known that Tim Bernhardt has mastered the recipe for elevating and soul-
stirring music, but having an extra chef in the kitchen can up the ante: Cassara knew
exactly how to add some extra spice to the second single released on Golden Hour. 
With a classic disco feeling and a pinch of “French Touch” on top, it conveys a 
certain courage - something that takes you to the next level on the dance floor. 
When Satin Jackets brings in the melody, Cassara knows how to raise the tempo 
without losing sight of its soulful vibe. The combination of a stomping bass, Nile-
Rodgers-like guitar licks and the right tempo, confirms that Cassara was the right

This June sees the welcome return to Eskimo Recordings of one of their biggest names, Italian-Belgian producer Vito De Luca aka Aeroplane. Following on from remixes for some of pop's biggest names, including Justin Timberlake and Charlie XCX and acclaimed releases on labels such as Defected, Glitterbox and Spinnin' Deep Vito returns to where it all began for him with the guaranteed summer smash, 'Body'.

Featuring vocals from Belgian singer Yves Paquet, 'Body' is classic Aeroplane. Drawing on influences such as Italo, Balearic disco and early house music and marrying them to an unashamedly pop sound Vito has again created the kind of life affirming track that is sure to soundtrack summer 2018.

“Body started when Yves got in touch with me, wondering if we could work together." Explains Vito. "He had sent me a few bits to showcase his voice and songwriting ability, one of them was Body. The vocal has a classic quality to it that got stuck in my head instantly. Within a few days, with some little tweaks, we had a song!”

"Ironically we decided to write a song about being jaded with going out to parties, which has slowly given the song about six new layers of meaning over the intervening months. I can remember the looseness and fun of that session though. It feels both like yesterday and like 2 years ago, the five of us in a cramped room, singing about packed parties and wishing to get some time to spend alone with loved ones.
