Nakadia's development as a DJ has been as unique as it gets. She bought turntables and started practicing with a very limited amount of music. Over the years she worked her way through various styles and genres, until she found deep house, tech-house and minimal influenced techno. With an open-minded approach to music Nakadia is respected by all who witness her performances, making her into the most booked female tech house DJ in Asia. She has played over 600 events in more than 300 clubs across 52 countries during the last 7 years. From major events like Sonne Mond und Sterne or Loveparade in Germany, the famous Thai Fullmoon party or Queensday in Amsterdam - or club gigs like Café d'Anvers in Antwerp, Sugar Factory in Amsterdam, Blue Frog in Mumbai or Ritual in Sardinia  – the girl from Thailand has always managed to surprise everybody and in the most positive way.

Today, we exclusively premiere Nakadia's remix of ME & her's "Lost" which also features the vocals of Billie Fountain.  This one features a rolling bassline, punctuated by eclectic synth patterns, all wrapped around a smooth, sultry vocal.  Definitely one for dark rooms!

DJ Ralf is the Italian icon who runs the much loved Laterra Recordings label and management, and is now back with ‘Er Suonone’, a new track from Margot that is all set to be a late summer smash.

Anyone who has heard the legendary DJ Ralf (a cult figure who has been the subject of a documentary, has played all over the world, runs his own legendary Bella Ciao party and holds a cult residency in Cocorico) play recently will most likely have heard this track in his set, and it has been an unknown but much loved secret weapon for a while now.

As such this one sided vinyl pressing will please many people who have been hunting it down. Margot, of course, is an Italian pair of accomplished producers who have released on, Les Disques de la Mort, Hell Yeah and Border Community and run their own Margot label.

‘Er Suonone’ is a pumping, deep, slow burning bit of cosmic house that builds and builds and teasers listens without ever releasing the pressure. Monstrous kick drums drive it down below, pixelated stabs add suspense in the distance and icy hi hats slither in the foreground. It’s the sort of track to drop right at the peak time and it will surely go right off, with people fist pumping along to the groove.

Debuting on Kompakt with a masterfully twisted remix of Gui Boratto's "Take Control" (KOMPAKT 302) in 2014, Miami-based DJ/Producer DANNY DAZE had already made himself a name with outings on tastemaking labels like Maceo Plex's Ellum Audio, Ultramajic or Miami's very own Omnidisc - but it was the raw and muscular SPEICHER 80 that really opened up our receptors. Danny's recipe for bendy, electro- infused techno turned out to be insanely catchy and ripe with bass, a bold, futuristic and funky vision for the dancing floor that finds a brilliant follow-up in his latest outing: two new exercises in off-the-cuff mayhem grace SPEICHER 91, with face-melting uber- jam SWIM kicking off a weird and wonderful parade of synth riffs, belting beats and pure arpeggio anarchy - while the flipside is held hostage by the razor-sharp, robotic funk of MACHINE, Danny's second collaboration with TRANSLUCENT for Speicher after the hard-hitting "Speaker Language" (KOMPAKT EXTRA 80).

Get Physical Presents: Cocada is a brand new compilation put together in cooperation with the Brazil Music Conference, and is compiled and mixed by local and long time star Leo Janeiro. All bar one of the 14 tracks is exclusive, and all come from exciting Brazilian talents, making for a great window into the scene.

‘Cocada’ is a word that evokes strong childhood memories for all Brazilians. It is a delicious coconut sweet which, says the label, “is a little surprise in the middle of an ordinary day that makes you appreciate all the good things of Brazil.” As such, it is a perfect name for this selection which features tracks from big and emerging names alike.

“Under the name Cocada we’ll be launching music and organizing workshops and parties, in order to bring greater visibility to the electronic music being produced in Brazil and throughout Latin
America”, says Get Physical’s managing director Roland Leesker.

“Our desire is to create an international platform both for emerging underground producers and well-known artists,” A&R manager Matt Plessis adds. “Cocada is very sweet and we want to give the world an opportunity to taste some of those powerful delights that have been produced in Brazil,”.

Among the album’s more established producers is HNQO, who runs the Playperview label and has released on Hot Creations. His track ‘Sorrow’ is a moody cut with a shapeshifting lead synth that brings a zoned out feel. Another big hitter is Renato Ratier, the owner of celebrated Brazilian clubs D Edge and Warung, resident at the former and globe trotting DJ who has put out a couple of well
received albums. His ‘Snapshots’ is a track with brilliantly rumbling bass and starry night skies as well as dubby chords that get you on your toes.

First out of the blocks is Hauy with the superbly languid and elastic deep house of ‘Redpath’ featuring gently undulating synths and rolling drums. The man behind the mix then serves up ‘Blaze’ with Mumbaata, and it’s a tight, upright bit of melodic house with loose drums that reflect Brazil’s rich musical heritage. Well-crafted melodic vibes are the backbone of this collection, with the likes of Lacozta, Albuquerque’s remix of ‘Hierbas’ and Andre Salata & Mumbaata’s ‘BR-116’ all offering nicely atmospheric, warm house grooves with big, sweeping melodies and poised chords that add plenty of colour and majesty to the music. 

Bruce Leroys picks up the pace with his more edgy and driving tech cut ‘Rev Is Out’ and things get all trippy and spaced out on the hypnotic ‘Raizes’ by Nuno Deconto. This is a compelling selection of tracks that show that Brazil is a real hot bed of talent going into
2018, and Get Physical knows exactly where to find it.
