Joseph Tagliabue is a sound engineer, selector and music producer based in Milan, Italy. He is currently a leading figure in the alternative cultural Italian scene. His meticulous musical research reflects an eclectic style characterized by an Italian attitude which is the expression of the love for his land and its traditions. Tracing a music-temporal path that comes from folk sounds mixed with contemporary electronic and experimental techniques. He takes inspiration from the environment that surrounds him and breaks down the boundaries between the genres, blending its musical influences and reinterpreting its origins with a propensity towards the future. He offers refined, evocative and always different emotional performances, tailor-made to the audience without ever abandoning his own music identity.

'The beginning of the musical path of Karolina Bnv as the kid of the 90s sounds like a good old story - playing drums in a rock band in Novosibirsk at school, starting to collect vinyl as a teenager, moving to the UK to get her degree, buying her first Technics turntables in London, first gigs in local clubs and organizing series of super popular HUMBUG parties etc.'

Now living in Moscow she is a welcome quest at many parties playing a wide range of styles from house and italo to EBM and electro. She will soon release her debut EP on Wrong Era. The mix is vinyl-only + a sneak peek of her upcoming release. Enjoy!

Herself a representative of the global network of eccentric ecletists to which we all belong with pride and pleasure, Adriana is someone whose efforts are quite akin to what we strive to accomplish here. Helming the magnific Opalakia show for some good five years, this Melbourne native has been one of the main sources of aural pleasantries from all over the globe to PBS listeners and pretty much anyone who's been fortunate enough to catch her taking entire dancefloors on ecstatic journeys through wonderfully multifarious soundscapes. By weaving delightful rhythmic patterns and sewing enthralling melodic threads, she creates stunning musical mosaics such as the one we present here, assured to make any time of your day more enjoyable or, at the very least, more vibrant and vivid.

Metaphors related to energy are common currency among those who try to render into words the manifold dynamics that take place on a dancefloor. They are useful symbolic tools that offer both a fair appreciation of the exchanges between the people involved and an accurate depiction of the forces at play. And, if we consider how much sonic and affective power fill up those places in every dimension imaginable whenever the music starts playing, we quickly realise it is all about the circulation of waves across the space and through everyone, flowing constantly between generation and conversion and manifesting itself in motion and emotion. The dynamics at play are not as intricate as they are delicate, relying more on harmony and intensity than balance and precision, and the proper handling of these delicate parameters demands the type of sensibility that our current guest shows at every opportunity she has, be it online or offline, as their deep heat does not dissipate. Sometimes we happen to take some of the fundamental aspects that guide our main mission for which this platform is a crucial resource for granted, even if we never underestimate their place in what makes it something singular amid the multitude of similar content that can be found online. Take eclecticism for example, a quintessential characteristic of every single contribution to the series and an overall quality that is pursued by each of the guests we have in the construction of their deeply personal musical narratives. Not a mean feat, if we take into account the sheer diversity of rhythmic patterns and harmonic structures involved that need to be concatenated cohesively or, at the very least, sequenced harmoniously to be able to engulf us in its motional thrust and emotional pull.
