Swimming in deep and seemingly calm waters has turned into a kind of extreme sport in a music scene that keeps cranking up the BPMs and toughening its vibe. That's why stumbling upon EPs like the one Madrid-based producer Blovk is dropping on Gordo Trax with this "Quiescence" feels like a bit of a luxury.

From his studio, where cables snake into his modular synthesizers like injecting venom, Blovk crafts four original tracks that showcase an artist hitting his stride. It's a journey through a analog, metallic, and textural sonic landscape.

In this "Quiescence" EP, you'll find futuristic minimalism, warm and cyclical sequences resonating in an organic space, techno landscapes, and a hunger for what's to come.

Adding to the mix, there are remixes by Viels and Fase Bipolar. The Italian artist, a regular on Warm Up Recordings, serves up a beautifully rounded, ethereal remix. Meanwhile, the Fase Bipolar duo, based on Sungate Records, injects their characteristic robotic groove into a dancefloor-oriented remix.

Atisbo's production thus reflects this deeply critical attitude, creating a well meshed contrast between loudly clattering foley and surgically precise drumwork, revealing sometimes light within the darkest torrents of bass heavy vibration, but also unspeakable power even in the most fragile of soundscapes.

2wice Shye is an electronic music production duo from Johannesburg, South Africa, consisting of JonT Schoeman and Cameron Last. With over a decade of production experience, they focus on crafting immersive, evolving techno, blending playful percussion, hypnotic synth leads, and deep, driving basslines to tell a story through sound.

In the studio, JonT and Cameron work together to shape the 2wice Shye sound, sometimes collaborating in real time and other times bouncing stems back and forth. While they produce as a duo, JonT performs solo live techno sets pushing creativity to the limit with his setup. He no longer DJs in the traditional sense; the closest he gets is incorporating a few stems from existing tracks, choosing instead to sculpt every set live, ensuring a unique and dynamic performance each time.

Their music is deeply personal never forced creativly (since leaving a major), always heartfelt. While some tracks are available on SoundCloud, more of their releases can be found on Spotify, Apple Music, and other platforms.
