OECUS welcomes the new year presenting its first release of 2022 and the fourth VA on the label. 

“OCSDGTL005 | VA” heavily focuses on the future of the genre, though never leaving its past and roots behind. The compilation displays an outstanding full colour spectrum by a selection of both some of the most talented newcomers and affirmed artists of the Techno scene.

Going from energetic grooves, old school influenced patterns and driving, dense atmospheres to some industrial sonic palettes, to finally end up on darker, groovy territories again, this assortment stays true to the agency and label’s mission.

For her first release on her own label called "Nerudo", Hemka delivers her very specific signature sound on her EP called "Divine Beast".

Four unique tracks with energic and hypnotic grooves, dissonant notes and strange FX. The opening track "Divine Beast" shows a straight to the point mood that leads you to the highest energy. The second track "Enigma" drives you to a mystic journey puzzled with stabbing violins, pads and intense shakers. The story telling continues with "Moldarquor" based on the same formula along with nice grooves. In the last track "Shrine", Hemka ends it up with tasty textures, a strong bass groove fed with unique FX.

Almost a year on since his Blueprint Records debut, the London-based Brazilian, Vinicius Honorio delivers the follow-up to "Sem Rumo".

With a storied history in DJing and producing, starting in Rio de Janeiro as a D&B selector before settling into London’s techno sphere, the Brazilian producer pens dark and dubby textures. Delivering releases on his own label, Liberta Records as well as the likes of Modularz, Mord, Token and of course, Blueprint he has displayed his penchant for trippy and foreboding techno whilst encapsulating the energy and passion that have come to be synonymous with his style. A style that also permeates his DJ sets which he's taken around the globe.

"Ominous Music" features four hard-hitting Techno tracks characteristic of his style. Released 31 May on vinyl and digitally.

Not everyone can reverse entropy. And yet, when Cosmic Anomaly takes on the challenge, he can still reveal a wilderness in the beauty of order.

The motivation behind Garden Of Uncertainty was to coach noise, and thus, as he tells us, 4 of the 5 tracks enclosed don't use any synthesizer as a "melodic" source, but rather sounds that have been transmuted until they became what we are hearing now. An ambition to tap into chaos and return it reorganised, and fleshed out into a myriad of sonic possibilities.

We have no option but to believe him, within these 5 tracks we encounter rich, brooding worlds and are reminded of his vast inner being. His feelings of uncertainty plastered into breathing noise, every one of life’s challenges converted by catharsis.

“All this takes shape at a time in my life when I was experiencing some turmoil [...] The remnant of the exercise of accepting uncertainty is the joy one learns to experience in the present moment”, we are told, as we listen to a collection of pieces that whilst remains Techno in form, explores the whole scope of possibilities within not only the genre, but also the rich tapestry of the world of sound.
