In our tireless quest to discover the most original artists in contemporary Techno, we have come across producers like Comarca or Cosmic Anomaly, who have virtually debuted on our label, showcasing a spectacular talent for redefining the genre's boundaries. Now it's time for a unique artist based in Barcelona: YearsAstray, whose abstract sound, completely detached from formulas, is practically unclassifiable.

In this "Plástico y Asfalto", we will encounter brittle percussions, rough textures, vaporous sounds intertwined with random sequences, and sounds that speak to us, coming to life to snatch away our own.

As remixers, this extensive EP features one of the Spanish talents in Hypnotic Techno that is worth keeping an eye on for the future: Jala. Closing the album, Finalversion3 reimagines Grafit with their signature sound.

Through our Various Artists series "A Tota Virolla", some of the most captivating international artists are leaving their mark, contributing unique productions ready to shake tectonic plates and the Earth's crust.

In this fifth edition, we showcase internationally renowned artists making their debut on the label, such as Ribé, Pyramidal Decode, or Lidvall, alongside rising producers from our scene like RBNK or Cosmic Anomaly, and returning artists like Jala, Atisbo, and the collaboration between Finalversion3 & Hektor Legion.

We persist in our unwavering battle against the world, releasing Techno crafted to resonate with souls dancing in smoky basements as the first rays of dawn break. The significance of the artist's name is inconsequential; what matters is the quality and originality that permeate their music.

You're not dreaming: Oscar Mulero, Kaiser, CONCEPTUAL, Roll Dann, Vegim, Bøhm, Finalversion3, Irazu & Unkle Fon, and Atisbo & Schrzø all in the same Various Artists compilation in our GTX A TOTA VIROLLA Vol06 series.

We still don't know why... but some of the world's most talented producers have decided to participate in this V.A to create a robust, varied, powerful, dizzying, elegant, and far from passing fashion tracklist. Timeless techno with total devotion to the underground, to the dance floor, to clubbing, and to sensory experiences under the smoke and strobe lights.

In this compilation, you won't find a single filler track; each artist delivers impeccable production with an eye on the future of the genre, from the spatial abstraction of CONCEPTUAL to the hypnotic groove of Bøhm, the broken rhythms of Atisbo & Schrzø, the robotic synths of Finalversion3, the dystopian sequences of Irazu & Unkle Fon, the sobriety of Vegim, the luminous percussion of Roll Dann, and the dancefloor destroyer that maestro Oscar Mulero signs with that killer 909 and his sci-fi synth.

Do androids dream of electric sheep? 

Possibly not. If they’re anything like us, they barely sleep at all.

Lucky for us, Linear System has concocted the perfect combination of tracks to soundtrack these midnight wormholes. 5 tracks that navigate the realms of dark, brooding Techno, aided by resonant textures, chirping foley and ultimately a cavernous groove administered with surgical precision.

This release wouldn’t be complete without Atisbo’s take on “Permanent Marker”. Our young resident crafts a remix comprised of broken techno that sounds like plastic melting under the hot martian sun, with solvent fumes emanating in clouds of sonic swathe.

If, much like us, you’re on the lookout for music that feels like the walls are closing in on you, with every pulse rumbling through a building's foundations, GTX18 is for you, replicant.

Like a sheet of metal slamming against the floor, Tiefton’s EP arrives swiftly, loudly, and causing tremor.

With an EP filled with rapid-onset brutalist beats, the Frankfurt artist manages to hypnotize the listener, delivering quick blows and sharp turns in the form of highly danceable structures. Endlessly meandering through streams of liquified sound, weaved around metallic texture, the ep’s expansive sound seems to infinitely fold in on itself like a poly-dimensional object.

We have invited Lidvall to reshape the sounds of this EP into his remix of Only I Will Remain, where we are treated to a bleak scenery, the outcry of metallic vultures encircling their spoils, with the rummage of a pillaging steamroller echoing in the background.

In front of us is an EP equally capable of exploring inner and outer space.

Génesis Music (GM) es un nuevo sello musical que pretende unir generaciones de productores valencianos a través de la música electrónica creada a lo largo de toda su historia. Para ello, GM, publicará referencias de los padres de la electrónica de nuestra región, así como de los nuevos referentes de la escena actual creando una simbiosis musical sin precedentes. En esta primera referencia, tenemos el honor de contar con Julio Nexus, todo un estandarte de la escena nacional que sigue dejando una huella imborrable desde sus lejanos comienzos a finales de los años ochenta como parte de Megabeat.

It’s extremely gratifying for us to see that we’re about to slate our 20th release on the label.

Born from a necessity for us to showcase the fantastic talent that has graced the booth at our parties, friends of the label, and incredible online acquaintances that we’ve made from the traction gained from our releases, G.O.R.D.A (Greatest Originals & Remixes Dropped Æver)
aims to pinpoint some of the essential tracks that define our labels first 10 releases, our ethos and sound.

This compilation materialises itself from our artists capability to craft well-defined, sophisticated Techno, equal parts heavy-hitting and elegant, some drenched in nebulised atmosphere, some gritty, broken, and carefully etched into walls of static noise.

It’s been a tough task for us to gather just 10 tracks from a slew of stellar EPs and VAs that have made us infinitely proud of the talent we are surrounded by. We are overwhelmed by all the great music we’ve been able to release and thank all the artists for their music, and all the supporters for keeping our music in circulation, and our projects ever growing.

If you’re new to Gordo Trax, we hope this can be a taster for our labels music and all the great artists who have made it, and we hope this can push you to explore the rest of our catalogue.

Not A Headliner’s music seems to demonstrate a concept that is always heavily discussed:

It’s very easy to emulate the work of the pioneers, but to understand their essence, and create something new from the blueprint of the originators, that’s where real advancement lies.

Crafting 5 originals, Not a headliner is able to distil the purpose of the sonic language he’s bathed in without ever sounding derivative. From the Millsian UFO transmissions of the opener “Neglected Population”, to the head charge of “Weekly Designer”, pummeling on a grid like an S-bahn carrier.

Our endeavour continues with “El Precio”,  a nod to Birmingham’s desolate post-industrial landscape, resonating within towering concrete walls of abandoned steel mills. Closely following, “Outperform” is a surgical techno effort where filtered slices fall on an intricate cobweb. We are seen off by “Aquafuture”, a culmination of euphoric hallucinations on the Hardcore Continuum.

Our dear friend Lucia Gea puts a twist on “El Precio”, ramping up the industrial tones by incorporating lasered pangs, with machinery whirring us into a constant state of alert.

Every Always. This body’s title track thus signals the start of Finalversion3’s journey, a dive into an inner world plagued with themes of family, spirituality, and hope. With all the originals finished a week before the birth of the artist’s son, every title unveils a portion of a journey of struggle, overcoming fears, and a strong sense of interdependence.

“Todos Los Siempres”, stemming from this long standing family ethos,  is an emphatic tour de force, punk from the bone, an exploration of the hardcore-continuum in the flesh, and an exo-skeleton of battering snares melding the artists influences into a defining opener.

“De tu costado” and “Vulnerables” continue by building the myth of this release, swathes of metallic textures, constantly decaying dancefloor constructions with an uncanny sense of bitter-sweet around the topics of birth, vulnerability, and growth.

“Incompatible con la vida” narrates overcoming anxieties, delivering a deeply cathartic explosion of thundering club sonics.

The final original track, “Nacida en Jueves Santo” is an infinite tug of war between hyperspeeds and a smoldering dembow pulse, with the embers of both compacted together until forming a rough diamond. In Spanish folklore, a person born on Holy Thursday is capable of lifting curses from others, and as such, capable of keeping one’s family in good health.

Peder Mannerfelt sets off with the first of our remixes, club heart attack through and through, fear is imminent, and a robotic PSA reminds us of it constantly.

Stalwart Oscar Mulero reimagines our title track in explosive fashion, delivering classic D’n’B permeations into a carefully weaved fabric, broken Reese basses and infinite Amen recombinations ensuring nosebleed.

Answer Code Request’s dubby breakbeat take on the opener is perhaps, able to highlight a sense of euphoria that is more underplayed throughout the release.

Finalversion3 - Todos Los Siempres (Remixes By Oscar Mulero, Peder Mannerfelt & Answer Code Request)

On October 29th, flash floods devastated much of the southern and western areas of the Valencia province, along with several other regions in Spain. This catastrophic event brought storm surges, collapsing bridges, and left thousands stranded on roads and streets, ultimately leading to a death toll that is now estimated in the hundreds and, tragically, still rising.

Homes, animal shelters, businesses, personal property, and families have all suffered immensely from this disaster—an event that caught thousands out on the streets, commuting to and from school, work, and daily life, with little to no warning. Severe alerts reached our phones 10 hours later, leading to even greater tragedy.

“Germanor,” our word for “brotherhood,” embodies the spirit of this compilation. We aim to reach out and support our city and those who have been far less fortunate than ourselves.

We are incredibly grateful to have such a diverse and talented community of music makers in the city, who have generously donated their work to aid in relief efforts. Our hearts go out to all those who have suffered loss.

Finalversion3 - Ni en Somnis

After the climate and political catastrophe that Valencia has endured, with a severe storm affecting over 800,000 people, the community has come together to lift the future of Valencia out of the mud. From day one, Gordo Trax has sought to help by bringing together producers of all kinds in a series of charity V.A. releases aimed at supporting local neighbourhood associations, animal welfare organisations, associations for people with special needs, and providing essential goods. "Germanor" is the Valencian word for "brotherhood," and in this second release, we unite international artists like Blawan & Wallis, Oscar Mulero, Lewis Fautzi, Nørbak, Peder Mannerfelt, Cora Novoa, and many others who have selflessly pitched in during such a difficult time for the city.
