Making their first appearance on the label, Venezuelan deep house masters Sergio Munoz and Israel Sunshine aka Fur Coat are the next to release on the mighty Hot Creations. Title track ‘There’s No Time’ sees the darker side of the talented duo for an epic experience on the dance floor with deep growling basslines complemented with powerful electronic keys and dramatic builds. On the B-side Hot Creations favourite wAFF delivers a stellar and storming ‘Warehouse Remix’ picking up the pace with added vocals and percussion, packed with all the sonic energy we have come to expect from the young producer. Last up the Fur Coat duo deliver another golden original. ‘Together’ takes it deeper once again with a rumbling bassline and hypnotic synths and keys flowing through the layers to stimulate the senses.

Fur Coat previously remixed Russ Yallop’s ‘The Crossroads’ followed by their debut EP ‘Space Ballad’, featuring an unforgettable edit by TEED. However it would be their release ‘You and I’ featuring vocals from Cari Golden that would put the name Fur Coat on the map. At the end of 2012 they released their huge debut album ‘Mind Over Matter’ on Crosstown Rebels, with further ventures on labels such as Bpitch, Rebellion, Southern Fried Records, Noir, Get Physical and My Favorite Robot.

wAFF has rapidly gone strength to strength in the past few years after being taken under the wing of Jamie Jones, Lee Foss and Richy Ahmed. First coming to everyone’s attention with the huge ‘Jo Johnson’ EP, wAFF has gone on to acquire a heavy touring schedule and his more recent ‘Puke It Up’ EP released on the label only cemented his career in the industry further. Alongside his home label wAFF has also been releasing and remixing for labels such as Cocoon Recordings, Resonance Recordings and Rinse.

Fur Coat - There's No Time (wAFF Warehouse Mix) /// Hot Creations 2014

A great philosopher (Samuel Johnson, not Ebeneezer Goode) once wrote… “our brightest blazes of gladness are commonly kindled by unexpected sparks”. While it would be a stretch to suggest the Drumcode artist roster are closet philosophy fans, once one begins to unravel the tale that led to Jel Ford remixing the 2012 Alan Fitzpatrick hit ‘For An Endless Night’ and it is impossible to escape the unexpected enterprise and spirit of surprise that are at the heart of this exciting collaboration. 

As fans of Adam Beyer’s label will testify, the two Drumcode names have more in common than just a label stable, they also share common ground with the peak-time melodic sound that has delivered many of the labels most memorable output. Ford being a much more recent addition than Fitzpatrick, whose history with the seminal Swedish imprint stretches back to 2009, however Ford’s history within techno goes back even further having released multiple EP’s through the early noughties on vintage UK techno labels including Dave Angel’s Rotation Records, Billy Nasty’s Tortured Records, Primate Recordings and Ford’s own Jericho imprint. 

It is within this shared passion for uplifting synths and big room melodies that the ‘unexpected spark’ of creativity that led to Ford remixing Fitzpatrick can be found. An long-time admirer of Fitzpatrick’s work, Ford had developed an idea for his alternative version and secretly worked on the remix long before any discussion of the project had taken place. Once given the draft version, Fitzpatrick immediately endorsed the remix, excited to have an updated version to breath new life into what had become a familiar staple of his sets for the past two years. Parts were swapped and the end result being the barnstorming end-of-night monster presented here. A track that will be familiar with many having been the subject of much social-media furor since it first surfaced back in Autumn 2014.

Globally admired DJ and producer Riva Starr is back on Hot Creations and fired up to send dancefloors wayward with ‘Dippin’ Side.’ This time he calls on techno don Joseph Capriati to remix plus teams up with rising producers Haiku 575.

Title track ‘Dippin’ Side’ is an ultimate club banger, while Capriati’s remix skillfully strips back into a deep end roller. ‘Owls and Toucans’ brings the collaboration with Haiku 575, playing with trippy synths over heavy percussions.

Snatch! Records boss Riva Starr has released on the most esteemed underground labels, from Dirtybird, Saved and Hot Creations to his forthcoming album ‘Definition Of Sound’ on Cajual Records. His famed 'Rechunk' re-edits have given his fail safe touch to names like Daft Punk and London Grammar. Making this cross-pollination seem so effortless has won a team of supporters from Gilles Peterson to David Squillace, Adam Beyer to Pete Tong.

Joseph Capriati is recognized as one of the principal profiles in techno. From his ‘Self Portrait’ album on Drumcode in 2013 to his Music On residency at Amnesia for Marco Carola he has become one of the most in demand names in the business. Haiku 575 is a duo composed of M_Abbatangelo (manager and co-owner with Davide Squillace of This And That Lab) and Cipy (a veteran producer and long-time member of the Get Physical and Kinsdisch family), who after more than a decade of friendship decided to go into the studio together. The duo and Riva are thrilled with the release and planning more collaborations together in the future.

Exclusive The Magic Ray 'The Tuning of the Road (Simple Symmetry Remix)

Moscow based brothers Sasha and Sergey alias Simple Symmetry have been responsible for some of 2017's musical special treats. The basement inspired duo took on responsibility to remix Adam Port's 'I Never Wear Black' and even get deeper with releases on Disco Halal, Multi Culti, Correspondant and now Dischi Autunno. Latter is run by French DJane Jennifer Cardini and Noura Labbani and just had its EP, The Tuning of the Road by The Magic Ray, released. Simple Symmetry reworked the original, an Indie-Rock influenced song, and added their slightly discoish inspired vibe making the track both: more suitable for the dance floors and paying tribute to a multilayered approach in sounds.
