Other projects include Spacelings & Bassheads,  Rift Ave., Ze Dark Park, and  Citizens of Shade.
•From his years, in the 90's Detroit underground as the founding member of the notorious electronic-funk duo Spacelings & Bassheads, who frequently performed live as Detroit Syst3m's go-to-house band at spots like the legendary Packard Plant, under the Ambassador Bridge, Timbo's Hall, etc.  Spacelings & Bassheads performances were absurd, raw, and trippy••John dressed in an ape-suit in diapers, busting out of shackles to perform at the Syst3m 1997 NYE party at Timbo's Hall on the east side of Detroit.  
•Spacelings appeared on Interdimensional Transmission's seminal "From Beyond" comp. 98' with "Never Trust a Coward", 
in 2000 Spacelings performed live at the 1st(Detroit Electronic Music Festival). A decade later, John formed Ze Dark Park with I.T.& Ersatz Audio artists Ian Clark(Le Car, Perspects) & Ron Zakrin (Goudron). Ze Dark Park played the 10th Movement Festival, and are most remembered by their performance at Detroit's staple gay-disco-night, Macho City at the now-defunct R&R. 

•More recently, DJ'ing and promoting in Detroit's warehouse &  
late-night party scene, sometimes as his alter-ego Dr. Disko Dust.  His events have combined showcasing Detroit's visual artists' work with elements of the classic Detroit techno party scene that he grew up on.  Many of these parties took place at The Bankle Building (a monumental location in Detroit techno history).  The line-ups routinely featured acts like Jimmy Edgar, Carlos Souffront, Brendan Gillen (BMG), Scott Zacharias, Secrets, and Jerry Downey. Many of his events would have custom psychedelic projections by video artist Jesus Rivera and the Bathroom Culture crew.
•John currently hosts the monthly Disco Sludge Factory at Northern Lights Lounge, Detroit, and currently DJs and hosts his weekly event, Elixir, at Northern Lights Lounge every Thursday. 
 He is also in an electronic duo/band with partner Alex Lary called Rift Ave. 
John is also responsible for publishing the 2012 gritty pulp novella "She Creatures of the Cass Corridor" (available on Amazon), Urban Lit/Horror that takes place in Detroit. ala Donald Goines & Burroughs, and he has a lengthy string of video/trash art short movies and collaborations with video artists Jesus Rivera & 30 Mins of Madness.
