These young producers from Culiacán have long been two of the greatest talents in Mexico, with numerous releases published on some of the biggest labels in the scene such as: Roam Recordings, Duro, or Nein Records.

Also Roliva solo, has previous collaborations with Dogs & Vultures, in our Re-Edits series, and remixing Fledermaus in our ninth release of the digital series.

To complete the release, on the B side, we have the majestic Remix of Cabizbajo (@cabizbajo).

Roliva & Technicism - El Ride (Cabizbajo's Rolling Remix)[Dogs & Vultures]

Local Suicide (@localsuicide) return with the third of four remix EPs for their debut album, 'Eros Anikate', this time named after the ancient Greek god Apollo.

The Greco-German DJ and Producer couple are known for their wild fusion of new wave, acid, slow techno, EBM, and dark disco and have been driving live audiences into a frenzy across the globe with captivating performances and live sets. Their propulsive grooves have earned them the title of key figures in the up-rising dark disco scene, as well as overwhelming support from the music press worldwide for their releases to date. Their debut 'Eros Anikate' comes after 13 EP releases and is the next step on their journey to a worldwide cobra wave and techno-disco takeover. The album includes selected vocal features and collaborations from Lena Platonos, Curses, Theus Mago, Kalipo, Sissi Rada and more, and received immense support from the likes of Mixmag, Spiegel, Tsugi, Faze, Inverted Audio, Sonic Seducer, Starwax, Side Line, Ransom Note, Groove, The Sun, Kaput Mag, Electronic Groove, Deutschlandradio Kultur, Lifo, Spotify and Apple Music.

'Eros Anikate - Apollo Remixes' is a 4-track EP featuring a remix for 'Whispering w/ Curses', 'Moustache w/ Skelesys', 'Like Follow Subscribe feat. Hard Ton', and 'PHD In Apology'. The EP will be released digitally and as a limited and numbered clear 12” vinyl via their Iptamenos Discos  (@iptamenosdiscos) imprint on November 18th, 2022.

The EP opens with a remix of 'Whispering' by the legendary, Berlin-based duo, Adana Twins (@adanatwins). Since their first big break in 2012, the duo have established a sterling reputation, constantly refining their sound, pushing the boundaries of their musical ambition and evolving organically over time. They are driven by a deep-seated desire to transmit emotion through electronic music, merging Benjamin's love of hip-hop and Friso's passion for club music to produce a series of highly-regarded releases that form the foundation of their global success. As they've grown, the duo have channelled their love for electronic music into their platform, TAU, providing a creative space to expand their sound while also discovering and nurturing new artists, including Local Suicide, who previously released on the label a few years ago. Their remix of 'Whispering' strips back the synths and guitars, placing the bass at the forefront to drive the track while Curses' dark, 80s-inspired vocals dance among Dina's echoing whispers. Local Suicide collaborated with New York born and raised artist Curses to reminisce on the wilder and sexier times of the ‘Spaghetti style’ wild west films they watched in their youth, literally putting the ‘wild’ into the ‘wild west’.

Representatives of the modern underground music Mexican scene, Tierra De Ovnis (SXDNS295) and Vleks have finally got together for a hot collaboration. Coming soon on the interesting CDMX-based outlet Mandarina Records, “Fuente De Energia” delivers two sharp originals cooked with love by the skilled duo.

With appearances on Duro, Sinchi, Espacio Cielo, Rotten City Files, and NEIN, just to name a few, Tierra De Ovnis’ sonority combines psychedelia and darkness with an extraterrestrial touch. Vleks, in turn, goes in another direction with a Rock-meets-Techno output that can be found on Slow Cycle, Inner Shah, Maleante, and HEARec, for instance.

That said, yeah… their EP comes packed with a psychedelic aura seamlessly blended with a Rock attitude – especially the title track, premiered here. A predicted but outstanding delivery with a sort of acid and experimental drive that ended up turning on the looking-forward-to-the-future-endeavours-of-the-lads alert.

The EP kicks off with 'North Pole', a driving track that takes listeners on a psychedelic journey with nordic vocals blending with dirty synths, a perfectly crafted track that you'll be eager to listen to.

Sol Selectas run by Sabo welcomes back Unders who has been a prominent feature in the label's back catalogue. Unders has also contributed to other imprints including Kindisch, Under Your Skin, Sincopat and Katermukke along with his own Happy Camper Records.

Unders, is a producer from Holland, who had a break through song called “Syria” on Sol Selectas three years ago, and is a huge fan of the band Morphine, so he created this dance floor remix of their track “The Other Side” for his DJ sets.

With the intention of keeping the original Morphine legacy alive along with the spirit of deceased lead singer Mark Sandman, the original members of the band have agreed to officially release this incredible remix, as every time Unders played it the reaction was incredible.

Already rated by Mixmag as one of the hottest tracks of the Summer in 2017, even though it had never even been released, this special remix of an American classic will surely take its listeners on a journey to “The Other Side”, where “life is better”.

Morphine was an Alternative Rock group from Boston which formed in 1989. Morphine’s unique sound combined blues and jazz elements with more traditional rock arrangements, and the lead singer Mark Sandman had a distinctively deep and laid-back tone. After five successful albums in the early '90s they disbanded after Mark Sandman tragically died on stage of a heart attack. The founding members reformed into the band Vapors of Morphine, maintaining much of the original style and sound.

With a slow, smouldering sound consisting of saxophones, soft percussion, two finger bass and beatnik-style poetry lyrics, the bands bluesy sound has been captured fully in Unders stunning rework.

The lyrics of the track talk of “crossing over to the other side” and this version pays homage to the original and celebrates the living achievements of Mark Sandman before he sadly passed away.

Created by Helia Jamali, the Artwork was influenced by the song lyrics, and is intended to be a visually stimulating journey to an unknown but familiar place “with the preacher's wife”.
