Continuing to seek the positive in the face of the mutable and inevitable, your favorite hippy goths, Hazy James & Millennium Culkin, are back with a double single/double remix EP "Out For You." It’s the new follow up to their thuddingly ethereal, transcendent psychedelic debut, Days Go By… which became a bit of a summer anthem last year due to heavy support from Lauren Laverne on BBC6 & the crew at 1BTN.

First up on the EP, title track, "Out For You" is an anthemic belter filled with ripping guitars, pounding arpeggiated bass, 808 drops, plus a dreamy break filled with slide guitars that rumble, build and explode underneath Hazy James' airy falsetto. Designed for arena madness and soundtracking your moments of catharsis. 

Not satisfied with just arena filling vibes, Each Other (Justin Strauss and Max Pask) take the original and twist it into a different experience which should really only be beamed down from a DJ booth orbiting the Earth to a fully global dance party. File this in the "Peak Time Festival" folder.

Flipping over to the b-side, the energy is high but the feeling a little colder on "The Night" - a chugging, introspective, escapist anthem for anytime the sun goes down. Sonically it's a little goth-punk and a little bit acid house. (Alt: Sonically it’s got a little goth-punk flavor with some acid-house taste) This is the first song on the playlist for your journey to a destination not yet known, just any-fucking-where but here. 

NY icon, Juan MacLean picks up remixing duties and turns in a taut, lean, dark, body moving machine. Shimmering synth lines cascade over a rough hypnotic beat, conjuring memories of Maceo Plex hammering to a packed, smokey floor at Trade.

Birds of Pandaemonium - Out For You (Each Other Remix) <Gouranga Premiere>

At the end of 2021 Belly Dance Services bounces back with "Demoladora De Bestias" a co-production by Central American duo "Fabio Me Llaman Soltero & Odia". Besides 4 original tracks the EP comes with 2 remixes from Indonesian producer/DJ Aditya Permana and Belly Dance Services homeboy Nick Hanzo.
The EP kicks of with experimental Heyoka. Enjoy mouthwatering melodies that slowly speed up until mixing with playful synths, dreamy pads and mesmerizing vocal chants. A lovely intro for what is to come.
Track number two "Bayunco" touches you right away from head to toe. You begin to oscillate your bellies in circles and glide through the gloomy room where tasty percussions and spaced out synths await you.
The third station of the duo’s magic journey is "La Tumba". This crazy rave anthem foats through the room on clouds of extasy and the voices from the tomb mobilize the musical animal in us.
The fnal original carries the lustful name "Sombria Lujuria". It perfectly rounds up the EP of this enchanting collaboration. Enjoy the catchy percussive hits mixed with shamanic jungle sounds and a captivating bassline.
"Dekadenz" co-mastermind Aditya Permana delivers a diabolic remix of "Sombria Lujuria" The man from Jakarta gave his dark touch and prepared a strong belly wobbler that catches ones attention with shabby synths, harsh aural bites and demon like vocals.
The second remake comes from Belly Dance Services co-head Ncick Hanzo, who saddled up a remix for "La Tumba". With it’s groovy attitude, hypnotizing melodies and addictive vocals, this track is perfect for a thorough body work out.

Founded by the Berlin-based Chilean hermanos of the respected duo Random Atlas (SXDNS155/FREEDL024), ODD Pleasures finally delivers its electrifying second compilation. Entitled “Suburbia”, the VA encompasses many a spectrum of dark grooves spread throughout its eleven hand-picked cuts. Ducati Flux, JGR, A-Tweed (FREEDL222/FREEDL029), Aural Trace, Cosman, ROB-IIN, Oblako Maranta, Bojarchük, Monoblok (SXDNS204), iuan (FREEDL036), and Soulcat & Jan Esmaeili, artists hailing from different backgrounds and corners of the crazy world we live in, contributed with their respective and characteristic sonorities to the releases, resulting in a wealthy hotchpotch of soundscapes devoted to pleasing both the electro club-smasher lover and the immersive sonic traveller out there.

The high quality and plurality of the themes turned the mission of selecting only one to premiere into a tough one. A little deliberation was needed until we ultimately reached a verdict: Monoblok’s contribution, the chosen one, drew our attention due to its funky and playful conduct. The beautiful bassline topped with a mellow and dreamy pad plus the Kraftwerk-like synth layers left us without any trace of doubt we had picked one of the most significant tracks of the compilation and thus the right one.

Spinning gold is pretty difficult. But that’s what Franz Scala does. Simple when you know how, and this Italian does. Three tracks of pure italo sunshine. Snapping beats and cocktail chords meet on the dancefloor for ‘Discoteca Paradiso’, sleek synthlines keeping time as the pair turn and twirl. ‘Gun Theory’ works in moonlit. Clean drums are sullied by dripping keys, a cigarette locked in the teeth of this after hours affair. And the lights aren’t up yet, Scala has one more floor filler up his sleeve. Pulsing rhythms say there still hope, she’s style out there; but the bitter sweet melodies disagree. A lilting heartbreaker, in the elegant form of ‘Riflessi’.

You want to hear a dance record with live guitar and percussion with a sunrise in a field at the end of a rave vibe released by a Brighton (via Tirana) based dance event promotion/record label with a penchant for putting out tracks with live instrumentation to produce a warm feeling in your belly, I hear you say? Well look no further than right here right now.
Olimpiada Records have been kind enough to share Pines in the Sun - Zig Zag Sea, an EP which evokes the ocean to the point where you can almost taste salt in your mouth when you listen to it. Sun is the lead cut and opens with a meditative chant which is later joined in quite kindly by laidback disco sounds which set an irresistable tone before giving way to warm and life affirming guitar tones. 
Uj Pa Gaz and Olsi's new project is clearly here to bring the solar rays, the breeze and the distant sound of the waves through our ears and into our souls... Just make sure you bring a towel. Out July 11th on digital format.
