For his first solo EP, Tushen Raï designed a record in the form of a colorful patchwork of sounds, a meticulous collage of samples, surrounding noises and synthesizers. Here, Maori percussion dug on field recording discs from the late 60s and 70s meet Indonesian chants recorded on phones and posted anonymously online. A nostalgic yet deeply contemporary testimony to an imagination weakened resulting from the cultural globalization. 

With "Drums Circles", Tushen Raï wants to reconnect with the adventure novels, from Jules Vernes to Barjavel, which nourished his childhood. Thought out as an ode to the diversity of our cultures, our practices and our beliefs, "Drums Circles" is a cry in favor of open-mindedness and curiosity. It is an invitation to discovery rather than to conquest. 

A humble invitation to embark on a journey and to collective trance. 

With creating Hard Fist, Tushen Raï has found a way to bring together his two passions: collecting records and travelling. From Turkish psychedelism to Romanian cold wave or tribal african techno, his undeniable dancing sets are fed with powerful soul voices, weirdo beats and unknown instruments.

Kayroy is back! The charismatic gentleman from Melbourne gives us three brand new songs. First, we have “Cutoff Freak” with R.P. Downie on vocal duties. Yes, we shed crocodile tears for a thousand years. The David Byrne-esque vocals perfectly add to Kayroy’s mid-tempo aussie p-funk. Last year’s “Identification Unknown” feat. Miela also sees a vinyl feature finally. Now imagine a late summer night. You ride your local sunset boulevard in your red convertible and turn on the stereo. They play „Some Kind Of Electric“ on the radio. Kayroy & Miela on the microphone make you feel good, they make you laugh, they make you cry. All at the same time. The mystery around the producer/producers known as the Yum Yum Club continues to flourish with a debut E.P. on Sprechen (@sprechenmusic) which promises 'Music For The Rave'. Following the track record of a cracking remix for Paper Recordings and the pretty amazing 'An Acid Love Feel Track' which featured Maria Uzor on Sprechen, this first outing is packing excessive 3am  murky basement slammers with a ton of groove & energy that reaches peak face chewing scenes!

Trippy Vocal Track delivers exactly that, a warped up twisted vocal sample wrapped around a twanging style bass with equally as twanging synth stabs alongside fully jacked up percussion & hits that never drops below full throttle!
Equal parts hypnotic - slamming & yes, trippy.

Piano Rave Track does exactly what it says on the rave tin. An absolute HUGE piano sample that's been dug up from warehouse raves of the past that surfs a monsterous bass line complete with hardcore MC asking 'do you understand!?', yes we do indeed...its time to rave!

Closing off the hat trick party is the addition of An Acid Love Feel Track which features Mariz Uzor on vocals. Originally released as part of the Edgy Future Discotheque Vol.3 compilation the track picked up some serious rotation on Radio 1 by Jaguar Worldwide and was hand picked by Jodie Harsh as her Radio 1 'Dance floor Moment'.

In an age of regressive politics and inward-looking neo-nationalism, there’s something gloriously open and outward-looking about the musical worldview of Rose Robinson. A keen traveller whose mindset and musical vision has been shaped by her experiences visiting different destinations around the globe, Robinson’s releases as Tigerbalm thrillingly combine her roots in dance music – Robinson has been DJing around her home city of London and much further afield for well over a decade – with rhythms, sounds and instrumentation inspired by all manner of indigenous musical cultures from around the world. This trademark sound is sonically kaleidoscopic, unflinchingly percussive and undeniably infectious, though attempts to accurately describe it are likely doomed to failure. While confounding those employed to review music not Robinson’s aim – she was much more interested in fusing her eclectic global musical influences and showcasing great female vocalists – her brilliant debut album, International Love Affair, will surprise as much as it delights – and all for the right reasons.
It arrives on the back of a string of celebrated singles and was created with the help of a large archive of recordings of jam sessions with musician friends, and contributions from a talented pool of female singers Robinson has met on her travels around the world. It’s those travels that shaped the sound of International Love Affair, with every track being a personal response to the musical cultures of places she’s visited. Combine these vivid experiences with nods to dancefloor-focused styles she loves – think organic house, nu-disco, Afro-house, dub disco, Afro-disco and Brazilian club cuts – and you have a debut solo album that’s as imaginative and entertaining as they come.
For proof, check the album’s two Bali-influenced tracks:  album opener ‘Kete’, where Joy Tyson’s stylish vocals ride a heady, low-slung midtempo groove wrapped in Indonesian instrumentation, and the extra-percussive, tech-house influenced dancefloor voodoo of ‘La Brisa’ (a cut named in honour of the Bali-based club of the same name). Or for that matter the two tracks inspired by Robinson’s experiences in Berlin, the Joy Tyson-voiced strut of ‘Tokyo Business’ – a dense, squelchy, dark-room ready blend of heavy grooves, punk-funk inspired vocals and ‘80s freestyle synth sounds – and the irresistible peak-time heaviness of ‘Cocktail D’Amore’, a track made in tribute to the legendary LGBTQIA+ party of the same name that sits somewhere between Afro-house, tribal house, dubbed-out late-night hedonism and the most mind-altering of organic percussion workouts. 
Robinson’s positive experiences on Waiheke Island in New Zealand, the location of the legendary Flamingo Pier festival, are explored on two tracks, too – superb recent single ‘Waiheke’ and the inspired ‘Cosmic Camel’ – an impeccable, breathlessly brilliant re-imagining of the mid-80s proto-house sound of Paul Simpson and Boyd Jarvis (amongst others) blessed with cut-up Maori vocal samples and the kind of hazy, dubbed-out horn licks that have long been a feature of records by New Zealand outfit Fat Freddy’s Drop. 
Such is the quality across the set, attempting to pick highlights is a futile gesture. Some may cite the breezy, Brazil-inspired samba-house/funky nu-disco of ‘Bahia Escapista’ (this features a very special ‘secret guest’ vocalist, whose identity will no doubt promote debate online), or Robinson’s response to visiting Morocco, ‘Riad De Lister’ – a squelchy chunk of 21st century P-funk that’s as heady and intoxicating as it is addictively dancefloor-focused. An instrumental version of that track is also featured on the album, alongside a handful of other vocal-free alternative takes. International Love Affair more than lives up to the promise of its title, marking out Robinson as one of electronic music’s most inventive and on-point global fusionists.

After a one year hiatus, Internasjonal restart with one half of the formerly well known milanese pair "Boogie Drama" and it ́s very own Lele Sacchi. Deejaying since 1995 Sacchi has been one of Milan ́s musical icons, at least for electronic, and presents himself in his signature style. 
High on the heels of the success with "Rebirth" ́s smash Lele Sacchi Vs Blonde Redhead "You're Only", "Kosmiquest" is dark and cryptic, with a mean but very neat and elegant bassline plus an unmatched groove and feel for the floor, this time well balanced with a tad into psycheledic string heaven, which combined with electronic effects is his ultimate "kosmische" quest. The whole thing is backed by an airy and superbright no less danceable version by "Lauer" and a fantastic relaxed italo take on Kraut which can propably be non done much better than by Prins Thomas here walking on that "lunga strada" ! Italy's Samosa Records come correct once again with another clutch of tasty edits of 'Funk Purpose Vol. 1', and this purple-flavoured rework from Shit Hot Soundsystem is particularly useful. The English producer is a fast-rising name on the edits scene, and with cuts like this you can easily see why.

Small Temple - Time Like Wind (Lauer Italo Dub)

After the sold-out first edition of Correcciones, Mexican label Calypso returns with Volume 2 of the series, unveiling four strong contenders for Edit of the Year. Starting things off, Calypso co-label boss Thomass Jackson has his way with a weirdo Polish jazz/fusion/funk track that keeps turning left while continually finding the right direction.
Russian label regulars Simple Symmetry join forces with co-label boss INigo Vontier to deliver a "monster peak-time mantra" that's as perfect for morning rites as it is for nocturnal adventures.
On the B-side, New York's Facets slows down the tempo of an old goa gem - the result has already gotten support from the likes of Intergalactic Gary, Alexis Le Tan and many others.
Volume 2 closes out in the hands of Italian dandys Marvin & Guy, who offer a magnificent take on a forgotten disco classic.
Timeless edits indeed.

Adventures in Paradise are excited to introduce hot new talents to the Balearic scene Falle & Soma World. Otherwise known as Falle Noike, Josh Ludlow and Tom Green, they deliver a stunning debut with ‘Want This’.
Vocalist Falle is an accomplished singer/songwriter and musician who has played throughout West Africa and the UK and is currently getting significant airplay on BBC Radio 6 for a release he did with Ghost Culture.
The vinyl version comes with the original vocal recording and an instrumental on the A-side with an extended vocal cut on the flip. Remixes come courtesy of legend and consummate production ace Ray Mang, who manages to take the original and rework it into a dance-floor ready smasher.
The digital package adds an extended mix of the OG, with a further two remixes including a vocal and radio, edit and the extended remix will be exclusive to the vinyl release.
This record is a sumptuously crafted Afro tinged groover, that builds and lifts alongside the captivating vocals of Falle. It comes with layer upon layer of warmth that will take you on a journey into the sun, even without leaving your home.

We're super chuffed to have the legendary Sean Johnston on Gouranga for the first time!

A Mountain Of Rimowa is Sean Johnston of A Love From Outer Space and Hardway Bros. Johnston uses the AMOR alias to explore how his varied influences can be wrought into new shapes: mining the past for a path to the future. No More takes the optimism of an 80’s soul staple and reimagines it as a robotic Italo disco anthem. His Sisters and Brothers in the East takes cues from EBM and New Beat but bends them into contemporary forms. Conversely His Sisters and Brothers in the West is a reconstruction of the same material viewed through the lens of 90’s house heads such as Clivilles and Cole - a Music factory for the 21st Century. Joker takes inspiration from early 90’s ambient dub and repurposes it as an early morning work out in the cosmic hole. In line with The EP’s NYC house influence, New York heroes Justin Strauss and Max Pask are invited to remix No More, delivering a tough piano house reading which will work the floor and raise hands.
