Gouranga’s popular Soundcloud channel has been a constant source of quality dance music over recent years. Their collaborations with the likes of Disco and House pioneers Todd Terje, Greg Wilson, Ray Mang, Rigopolar, Bill Brewster, JKriv and Dicky Trisco (to name a few) has established them as key tastemakers in the scene. They regularly pop up around the globe as curators and DJs and have been behind the programming of the Rabbit Hole Disco area at Glastonbury. Their recently launched label Gouranga Music takes things a step further, showcasing a range of electronic music that they are passionate about. Dombrance is a French DJ and producer who has been releasing selective, highly regarded work for almost 20 years gracing labels like Kitsune, Virgin Records and Yuksek’s Partfine. The single ‘Taubira’ appeared exclusively via Gouranga’s channel two years ago and now returns for a full release with a stellar set of remixes. The package opens with the hypnotic, arpeggiated excellence of the original before handing the reins to the assembled remix team. The mixes are bookended by two adaptations from new kid on the block Josh Ludlow who opens things with a powerful club edit with a deep, heady feel and closes out with a pumping 80’s Italo rework. Between these two variations, we have the ‘Clan Disko Dub’ from respected Slovenian producer Ichisan who teams up with the Gouranga Clan to go down a percussive & acidic route. Alongside this, Spain’s James Rod turns in an extended and intense revision that takes things into tripped out, late-night territory. At the centre of all this is the jewel in an already gleaming crown as Norwegian Cosmic God Prins Thomas takes the track down a psychedelic bass trip - stretched out over a blissful eleven minutes to create something truly timeless.

LeSale is back with the Synchronized EP, which marks his fifth solo EP on Luv Shack Records. 

The title track is LeSale´s first foray into boogie-funk, featuring lyrics and vocals by Kathy Diamond, one of the great voices of the early nu-disco era and former singer of the duo KDMS, as well as tape mixing by vienna based studio wizard Sam Irl. "Synchronized" comes in 4 versions; the classic vocal mix featuring the full vocals by Kathy Diamond, the instrumental mix which is stripped of the vocals entirely, the extended dub mix, featuring arrangement and additional overdubs by Sam Irl, concentrating on the bare,funky essence of the track and finally, a special remix by Ooft!. 

The Ooft! remix lays a club foundation for "Synchronized", taking it to proto house territory with a sparse use of original vocals and additional drums, synth leads and pads.

As a bonus original track, we get "Superfluid", an upbeat elektro-funk journey with the right amount of quirkiness to provide a contrast to the pop appeal of "Synchronized".

Psycho Weazel takes us straight back to the 80s with their vintage synths and hair spray hairstyles on their superb, two-part Bianco & Rosso EP on Argent Sale.

The Psycho Weazel duo met when compiling playlists at summer camp as teenagers. They decided to work together and have never looked back since. 
The Swiss pair have released on the likes of Correspondant, Sol Eterno and various other labels and now land on Argent Sale. They use production techniques popular in the 80s such as glossy arpeggios, cowbells and snare rolls while re-claiming earworm melodies from the era all served up with a fresh and polished sound. 

These new tracks are a bit like both sides of the same coin and include influences that shaped the duo’s sound, namely indie dance, Italo, disco, cold wave and EBM.

Opener 'Disco Moon' immediately sets off on a strident retro disco groove with plenty of shiny arps and crunchy drum tumbles. 

The fantastic 'Polarized' is a more slow and steamy cut with breathy female vocals and a rugged bassline overlaid with off-grid percussion. 'Elettra' is then an exquisite eight-minute adventure to the stars on tinny drums and crashing perc while a rigid lead synth brings the colour as it sprays about the mix. 
Sandford features on 'Gomina' which is another dramatic and loose-limbed disco cut, this time with lashings of Italo melody and theatric drum work. The radio edit of this will be release on 6th may, while the extended mix features on the full EP and gives even more of a thrilling dance floor workout doused in disco dazzle.
'Chrome' opens with big throwback drum fills and the wiggling bass and catchy grooves sweep you off your feet while the withering sci-fi keys and cowbells all add detail to this lush groove. The magnificent 'Lola' closes down with a fat bassline and widescreen disco sound that is packed with a charming personality.

These six tracks sound like the future of hedonist club music, 2022 style.

Swiss duo Psycho Weazel step in with some dance floor dynamite.

Léo Besso and Ivo Roxo's story is one of kinship; a tale of two friends spurring each other through an ever-ascending journey propelled by soft hearts and a magnetic, boisterous energy.

With hours stacking in the studio, Psycho Weazel defined their sound with the beautifully balanced 'boysdontcry'. This LP sought to give license to emotional expression whilst showcasing an important facet of their characters that extends beyond party starters and is more introspective and complex.

This balance is echoed across their latest outing for Exploited Club. 'Sueño Cálido' is equal parts heartfelt and mobile; club bangers with a cosy tinge perfect for warm summer dance floors.

The title track kicks things off with a deft counterbalance of power and poignancy. Nifty polyrhythms dance a syncopated shuffle under buttery synths that swell into humid plumes, while a boxing bass line tacks together a highly infectious groove. More melodies are gently folded in as emotion mounts, and a clever, free-flowing arrangement keeps the listener engaged, while a certain lo-fi quality wraps them in a homey blanket.

'Sueur' follows up with a slapping 909 drum track adorned with a bubbling organ and broad, colorful synth sweeps. Again, lively sequencing keeps the listener on their toes as drums are expertly dropped in and out, while melodies duck and weave across a bold, no-nonsense DJ tool.

'Body Alarm' brings things to a steamy close. Toms lead the charge here as they form the bones of a totally irresistible vibe, enhanced with carnival vocal cuts and sharp organ jabs. A wild breakdown unfolds as the energy stacks in layers, keeping the mood at boiling point until the very end.

sensitive guys. Two teenagers who discover themselves by comparing their playlists in summer camp and who decide to share their dreams. Since then they have come a long way. By dint of obstinacy and work, they manage to radiate from their studio nestled on the shore of Lake Neuchâtel with productions released on labels worldwide and by sharing, live or as DJ set, an elegant and
exhilarating music at the best venues in the region and elsewhere.
