I set up the Octatrack more as an effects unit.. or synth, listning to the live guitar and resampling and relooping while i play,.. some of the tracks reample other track wich resample the first tracl.. and so on

After many years producing quality underground dance music under numerous aliases, Fulgeance is delighted to present his new collaboration with Darius Broobecker: CLAUDE. Taking its inspiration from disco and classic house music, this EP blends Chicago House and UK Bass in a uniquely French way.
The latest signings to Fulgeance’s own Musique Large imprint, CLAUDE have already produced remixes for techno pioneer Laurent Garnier, indie rock band Samba De La Muerte & beatmaker Neko Neko. This, their debut EP, was made with dance music lovers in mind, and has already found support from Pedro Winter (Ed Banger), Garnier & Osunlade. Artwork is a collaboration between Rekick (Musique Large Label Boss), Emile Sacré‘s logo and french comic illustration legend Floc’h, the man behind Woody Allen’s «Hollywood Ending» and Alain Resnais «Smoking/No Smoking» movie posters.
This EP kicks off with the synth-funk of Claudius and title track Solid.
The insistently catchy Shake Your Head & Go! is a dance floor bomb whilst on the B side smashers Damn Thang and Bip Bap are juxtaposed with the afro-influenced Hum. The duo show their softer side to close the EP with
In Love « avec beaucoup d’amour » and a healthy dose of sub bass.

my 2nd take improv with the Shoe Pixel Fuzz --- because i failed to turn on the mic-pre, before recording the first one: ha! too true.
the Pixel offers a lot of sonic choices; i chose, here, this "gating"-fuzz sound..... this time!

This is a piece by Pablo Casals which I played at the Rock Creek Chanber Series with cellist Harriet Kaplan. I adapted the piano part slightly to be more idiomatic on marimba.  The natural reverb of the church setting was nice.
