For our 38th installment of the Rusted Rhythms series, Rust family favorites pheel. and parkbreezy have resurrected their Featherbed set to showcase loads of original tracks and a few choice flips and remixes. Co-founders of the all.Lo label, and the brains behind the Morning Coffee project, these two producer/dj's have their fingers on the pulse of trip-hop's many varieties, creating their signature blends through an infusion head-nod fundamentals with ample servings of saturated bass weight.

Right from the jump, they zero in on the vibe of the hour, delivering smooth cuts of collaged melodies and brackish drum breaks. Their own individual styles meet at the nexus of broken beats and juiced-up sub frequencies, balancing the high of a listening experience with the pull of a physical experience. They were even gracious enough to mix in a Groovsauce track, courtesy of their live project with Thought Process. Govinda is the alter-ego of Austin based producer/composer Shane Madden. He began studying violin and composition at the age of eight and went on to study classical violin at the University of Texas where he fell in love with electronic music production. It was in Madden’s pursuit of his gypsy roots that he opened his ears to music from around the world. From experiences learning violin with mysterious masters on his journeys across the globe and his passion for modern design and technology, the current sound of Govinda was born.
