I have been tasked with choosing a monster and making a song for it. I chose the kraken. the result is both tense and playful, reminiscent of old video game boss battle music (at least that's what I was going for)

KRAKEN ATTACK!!!

In the beginning there was Slime. All was Slime, and Slime was all, and all was good. Then it came to pass that not all was Slime. Slime split off from Slime and became sentient, and was no longer Slime.

On October the 15th, 2021, five sentient beings that were not Slime came together, and they realized that the Slime was still in them. They each took forth instruments and played glorious songs of Slime. Together, they became the Slime Brothers, and returned to Slime. From their song came forth an incredible new sound by the power of Slime; the Slime Brothers heard this sound and said that it would be called Slimecore. And Slimecore was then blessed by the Slime, to which the Slime brothers had returned, and all was good.

I make music sometimes. Usually on my computer with Ableton and whatever cheap VSTs I have on hand, but occasionally in real life too.

I like layered, colorful sounds, weird rhythms, chords with 6s and 7s in them, long ethereal pads, and keyboard solos that no one asked for. I dislike genres, deadlines, consistency, hustle culture, and SoundCloud bots.
