I'd almost need the lyrics in front of me to appreciate this song.  It's very "weighty" and serious.  Missing a few words is easy. . . especially for an old guy.

What amazes me Pam is not that your this proficient at songwriting and singing but of all the other business ventures you have done in the past. Most people including myself would assume you have singing professionally at least most of your life. Amazing !

Great song @gracenthorne Pam! I'm not sure if your intro to it is true of fiction, but it doesn't matter. I LOVE YOUR ARRANGEMENT, GROOVE, ESP. DRUMS, & the power Synth that I heard at about 3 mins. The melody and vocals are PHENOMENAL!  Great song craft!

I grew up in the bay area and lived in and out of several cities  about 15 minutes from Frisco.  I had a front porch session this weekend because the sun was shinning . I always like to get that outdoor microphone tone on these types of raw recordings. The only drawback is singing live and playing lead. You have to accept the flaws , But you do get a live feel.

Another song 50 years in the making.  The Dutch rock group "Focus" wrote an instrumental named "Sylvia" around 1974.  Sylvia was clearly album filler, but I loved the melody, and wrote lyric for it shortly after I heard it.  Paul Newett took the lyric without hearing the instrumental, and wrote new melodies and instrumental.  It was not impressive to musicians, but I "covered" the song in Suno.ai, and I'm very pleased with the result.  There is no trace of the original instrumental left in the song.
